Predictions for this weekend

Senior
Mohill v Ballinamore
Mohill is struggling to fill the void left by Shane Quinn and Keith Beirne. Ballinamore has a few lads missing, too, but should have enough to edge this.
Ballinamore by 5

Melvin Gaels v Leitrim Gaels
Melvin Gaels showed improvement as the league progressed. It won't be easy, but Leitrim Gaels should get the win.
Leitrim Gaels by 4.

Fenagh v Aughawillian
Fenagh has improved a lot since last season. Aughawillian has some key players missing and could struggle here.
Fenagh by 9.

Manorhamilton v Mary's
Manorhamilton have the players to cause problems but McNulty's absence in the middle is huge.
Mary's should win here.
Mary's by 6

Intermediate
Allen Gaels v Gortletteragh
I think Allen Gaels would have being a contender for the Senior championship this year, if they hadn't blown the Intermediate final. The addition of Roscommon player Kieran Kilcline is another boost for them. Gortletteragh has some fine players, but it will take a hugh effort to surprise Allen Gaels in Drumshambo.
Allen Gaels by 7

Carrigallen v Annaduff
Carrigallen showed improvement as the league progressed. But even without Darren Cox, Annaduff should be too strong.
Annaduff by 3.

Bornacoola v St Mary's B
Both teams will be happy with this draw. With 3 teams relegated this year, a loss for either team would be a big blow.
Mary's had 36 fit lads lined out for the league final, so their 2nd team could be strong. It's hard to decide.
Bornacoola by 1.

Junior A
Aughavas v Aughnasheelin
Aughavas by 3

Manorhamilton B v Glenfarne
Glenfarne by 3

Eslin v Drumreilly
Drumreilly by 2

Cloone v Annaduff B
Cloone by 6

Big win for Mohill last night considering the players they are without this year. Ballinamore will rue all their missed chances, not a fatal defeat for them by any means, but that's a game they'd have targeted to lay down a marker.

Another big surprise in Manorhamilton tonight.
Where next for St Mary's?

Any reports from the Championship games.

Also I would love to hear feedback from the Leitrim underage teams wins in Ballyhaunis.

The importance of Barry McNulty to Manor cannot be underestimated. They hadn't him for the whole league and tonight he scored 5 points from play I think. Manor have some fine young players coming through and I think they will be very strong strong in the next few years. Not a fatal defeat for Carrick but questions will remain over them after that. Leitrim Gaels and Fenagh made strong starts and you'd think even at this early stage relegation is between Aughawillan and Melvin Gaels.
In Intermediate Allen Gaels won comfortably against a mediocre Gortletteragh side who could be in a relegation battle if they don't improve as will Carrigallen who lost out comfortably in the end to Annaduff. 3 teams relegated from Intermediate.

Great win for Manor lastnight had themselves,Aughawillian and Melvin Gaels down as the weakest teams in Senior Championship. If they can add another win could be enough to save them

Out of Curiosity why has Glenfarne never tried to raise money to redevelop there own playing facilities? It's a shame the have to use Shannon Gaels pitch for games. By the way from the pic's I saw on Nevin O'Donnells Social Media it has a lovely backdrop

Quite possibly because of the money needed to do the job right... a million might do it these days (couple of prunty pitches & new dressing rooms). Massive undertaking for a parish like Glenfarne.

In relation to the underage teams, it was great to see Leitrim competing well at this level.
The U15s have had a great year. They were a bit disjointed last Saturday and had a good lead but let Sligo in for two goals in a minute. Finished well with a goal at the death to deservedly win it. Lots of great players but the captain Adam McCormack is a fine player and leader, but has lots of support.
The U16s had a disappointing year but they clicked on Saturday and produced a great performance against Roscommon. They all played well enoigh so not fair to single anyone out but I have to say Senan Kelly and Michael O'Grady are two great prospects, with plenty of others performing brilliantly. Lots of good players and positives. Keep it going.

Anyway , this is the leitrim forum , the bors put in a impressive dispaly there slick handling and tremendous workrate showed that of a well rounded team , boyle is a future star. Call me crazy , but i think melvin gaels were unlucky this weekend .
