The news that that Tyrone's best forward Joel Kerr is to miss the All-Ireland final after taking up a professional contract with Premier League club West Ham this week might be why he's thinking that. The London club's Academy has denied him permission to face Kerry in Sunday's decider at Newbridge due to his contractual agreement.

I was expecting Tyrone to win a competitive final by 2 or 3 points but that news certainly swings things in Kerry's favour.

Mark Dowd is the favourite to get the Roscommon job should the county board decide to go in house.

Oisin McConville had cited travel reasons as to one of his reasons for stepping down from Wicklow. The commute to Roscommon/Athlone would be equally as far. Hard to see how Mark McHugh can make a comeback given his previous comments on the players attitude to hard physical training.

Mark Dowd would be a good call, it would also show ambition from cb if they could get a similar former player to Hughes(i.e a former dublin player who has strong experience in what it takes to reach peak levels in terms of s+c and would have the respect of the players. i fail to believe that players had this attitude but then again we have a small pick to choose from and players know this and wouldn't be dropped from panel.

Not the answer. The Senior football team need a much more experienced manager than the above mentioned.
