Yes he had trial with Fremantle in 2021 but hip injury stopped it plus covid didn't help. What kind of statement is that in which you begrudge Ultan Kelm the opportunity to become a professional player down under? The cheek of you, after all he has done for our county team! No wonder others refer to you as a pot stirrer.

It's an opportunity no one would turn down. Do we know if any other Fermanagh players are heading for trials? I would have assumed Darragh McGurn would be a good fit for the Aussie game (tall, strong, and fast), but perhaps his ongoing injuries have prevented it from happening. Like myself, I'm sure there are others too that are somewhat dismayed at the standard of football in this year's All Ireland championship. I'm not begrudging the orchard men their success but looking realistically the yesterday's final, I was no way enthused or excited by what seemed to be dullish game, especially the first half. Neither team, in my opinion merited the standing of finalists of years gone by such as Dublin, Kerry, Tyrone and Donegal who made the final an epic experience. The Tyrone Mayo final a few years ago was also very poor with bad wides kicked by both teams and that tyrone team was the worst team to win Sam in 50 years.

Glad to see the consistency with the majority of the managers staying on. Donnelly and Mc laughlin have plenty of experience from managing their teams over the last few years so hopefully we can have a positive 2025. Donnelly has another 3 years so he clearly is keen to develop this team further. Hopefully we can get promoted from Division 3 but it won't be easy. My first observation suggests macca is a hypocrite as he now supporting the county manager yet he criticised him in June stating he couldn't see him staying on after such a fiasco of a season under Donnelly watch. Exactly Fools Gold, good that a man from neighbouring county can see the difference in fact and bluffing that some really struggle with here and their never ending sniping and unfounded claims. Obviously never stop supporting Fermanagh, such a question hardly warrants a response. Il reiterate again, if i was in Kieran Donnellys shoes, staying on would seem like a tough challenge gig as the hill likely get steeper, given the squad is probably weaker than what he has had the last 3 years, so not sure what more he can do that hasnt before.Player such as Sean Quigley is near impossible to replace in Fermanagh. Ulster is more competitive than ever, with Jimmy back in Hills and add in Malachy to Tyrone(Cert we draw them now), so realistic success is really the league and Tailteann Cup. At A Glance division 3 will be tough this year, Kildare will improve, Sligo continue to progress both them be favourites then add in Mickey Harte inspired Offaly with competitive teams in Antrim and Laois, hitting 10 points in table will be a tall ask. The tailteann cup has been disappointing, especially last years collapse v Antrim, Fermanagh should be reaching semi at least in that competition. With league Promotion to Division 2 was positive in 2023, this year bit unlucky in the Cork game that was key in sealing our relegation. Been tough draws in Ulster with Tyrone/Derry, the Armagh game this year though was poor, made it quite easy for them and was a non contest. Armagh went on to do the ultimate Kieran is a proud Fermanagh man, wore jersey with pride and he values the role as manager which is reason we he is staying on, not cause of financial gain. Being manager is a thankless task, would have been easy to walk away, which has to be commended. If he had left who were the county board going to attract?dont think would appeal to many, (dont forget Shane Curran close last time to getting it) Internally dont see many ready for such a role. Hopefully 2025 brings some progress, based on recent performances on Under 20/minors not sure if will be any youthful additions to support the team, a fit Darragh McGurn is needed, plus Callum Jones and Conor Love have potential if given more time, think Luke Flanagan is returning too which will help. On club front hopefully championship heats up this wkd, some very low scoring games last weekend in good conditions for football. Of course he can, but ye all seem to pile on to his posts. He gives an honest opinion, and is fair with the posts. One of the few who posts about football and not attacking other posters. I have some relations from Fermanagh so would have a bit of interest in the goings on
