Sorry big toe jam but you can't have the formula of .. good results means well done players and poor results means manager to blame
Lots of individual errors for me .. poor concentration .. poor execution … surely you aren't saying that was the coach
Now criticise the set up the structure of attack and that has manager all over it
I think we need to cut all concerned some slack as it must be a major comedown to be in tailteann in front of 1000 quiet supporters after promotion croke park and ulster championship…. Anyway we go again

Replying To BigToeJoe:  "I see more player bashing posts citing the manager as blameless, yet my response has not published as I guess it was too hard-hitting being genuinely honest about what I think of management and my support for our team players wo give so much to Fermanagh GAA. Whether these posters like it or not the buck stops with the manager! I'm quite sure there are similar minded honest people who feel I am correct then they are welcome to like my comment. Now I'm off to work where some of my earnings go to Club Eirne and to the manager that is failing us!"
I support you big toe as the manager must take responsibility for the good and bad times with his team. Too many find it easy to make the players scapegoats. I have a particular memory how macca devoured the netkeeper last year. Glad to see others backing your position too by liking your post. Don't be afraid to keep posting!

FT result Leitrim 2-7 Fermanagh 1-19. The manager is beginning to earn his money having used the right gameplan making player changes that helped. However, things got a bit alarming at the beginning of the second half with two quick goals from the bogmen but thankfully that momentum wasn't sustained. The result should queiten Macca like the ass as he will hopefully do less kicking of the hind legs such as after the Wexford game.

Well done Fermanagh today on a well deserved victory. Would agree with a lot of what Cillnaile would have to say there, players that came in were effective.

Once again though things needlessly get nervy as we had a 9 point lead cut to a 2 point one in the space of 4 mins. Management really need to look at this as this has happened far too many times this year. That being said, I thought the throw ball given by the ref in the lead up to the first Leitrim goal was a bit harsh. Some might be critical of McNally not commanding his square but in fairness if a forward has the run on you, there'll only be one winner.

Credit to the players though, they got through the other end of the storm with a lead still intact and just chipped away at Leitrim by putting the game to bed.

Impressive display from all of the forwards I felt, especially Lyons. 1-19 is as big a score line Fermanagh have put up in a while. Luke Flanagan is turning into a quality footballer for us as well.

Expecting a tight game against Antrim in a fortnight for top spot.

We beat Leitrim .. seed 4 and ranked about 28th in the country …. Let's calm down a little … Alarm bells still ringing to begin 2nd half that way
Good to run up the highest score I can ever remember but big test now against Antrim who finished league strongly … good to see Tommy McCgetting chance and Sean the old dog for the long road anyway one last time .. we are a div2 team now and should not be coughing up 2-1 in a few mins to div 4 sides

Brilliantly summed up!! Well done players. That should silence macca999 & co as the Kinawley poster put it... the donkey has been fed a generous amount of rations so no need of kicking and bashing of our players. Hey Antrim watch out!

Good contributions Bailah and KeshGFC, great to see some constructive posts on here.

Important win yesterday in Carrick on Shannon, against what was a poor Leitrim team but can only beat opposition in front of us.
Sean Quigley certainly added to team as know he can, especially in first half, his quick thinking free was excellent to pick out the impressive Ryan Lyons.

Second half started very sloppy, again the danger of high ball caused a goal, alot of county goalies struggle with it now as seems focus for GK now on kick outs and ability to deal with basic threat but for Fermanagh the lack of presence leaves it as a risk always. Second goal Leitrim player broke through 3 players far too loose on tackle. Least players didnt let it slip away like previous week but can afford anymore such lapses in concentration

Brandon Horan broke alot of ball in middle, Luke Flanagan had decent game, while Garret Cavanagh made some nice tackles when introduced, as did Garvan Jones, seems to be better as impact sub.Conditions not ideal but alot of unforced turnovers which went unpunished but against better teams will prove crucial going forward, so lots to work on.
Ultan Kelm needs to be playing closer to goal, far too deep yesterday at times to create scoring threats

Antrim will be a step up from the 2 division 4 teams to date, they will be motivated after the league comeback so will need improvement on previous 2 games. Week break now should ensure that both McGurn(kicking balls on pitch both days so cant be too bad) and Ciaran Corrigan should be available to add to scoring options.

Id imagine Antrim game either be in Armagh or possibly in Clones if gaa want double headers(Monaghan v Clare on that wkd too)

You have just made a ******** of yourself by praising two of your chum posters for being constructive yet along with yourself they were most destructive in their previous posts towards the players. Your arrogance is unbelievable being dismissive of others that don't subscribe to your views. After Saturday's game you are back at your ridiculing of goalkeeping and one of our best players, Kelm was't even good enough for you. Get a life mate.

To be fair I didn't read it as he was ridiculing Kelm per say, I think it was more management's positioning of Kelm on the pitch which therefore is a criticism of the management. I still felt he had a good game though but I do see the point.

McNally wasn't at fault for the goal in my opinion and has been great for us this year.

Fixture confirmed last night.
04.06.2023 (Sun)
Tailteann Cup Group 4 Round 3
Fermanagh v Antrim
Athletic Grounds, Armagh at 15:00

A huge game and our lads need to be in top form as Antrim is energised following a good season for them.

I don't agree with macca999 and his dig at McNally as he has been really as great asset to Fermanagh not just in goals but as the extra man, a role where he has made a significant difference.

Yes, Kelm would be more effective up front but wasn't his fault that management positioned him further out.

I think encouraging the players comes to from supporting them whatever happens on the day and not by constantly fault finding, so ease of with your criticism Mr Macca!!

Yeah erneboy, I fully agree hands off our footballers please. The same slabber does little to support our county senior team admitting a while back that he wasn't giving annually to Club Eirne as well as complaining about gate prices but he'll have to go the Athletic Grounds this time as he cannot sit on the high stool as it's not on GAAGO TV.

Exactly Bailah, it wasn't a criticism of kelm, he could make a contribution anywhere on field he is that talented, the point was for management that he could benefit more further up pitch as was during national league.

Interesting that so many posters get upset and bite when I give opinion on keeper and highlight we are suspect on a highball, ignore any praise given to players yet when other posters harshly call out management (who delivered an unexpected promotion) they don't comment, think its more to do with the who than the what for some here, anyway least people talking about our county team.

Thankfully don't need GAA GO as attend all games, great that games televised for older people who can't attend. if only club eirne supporters can voice views on fermanagh then be small crowds and minimal interest based on turnout for house draw in April, luckily all fermanagh games can support their county still no matter if CE members or not

Given that an under age game had to be aborted recently due to adult spectators from both clubs were engaged in behaviour unbefitting to the sport, should those concerned be banned, named and shamed? Referee and officials get a tough time too and something must be done to eradicate all such misconduct.

The second matter I want to raise is about slim attendance at the county games in the league but particularly now in the Tailteann Cup competition?Surely, it can't just be about ticket prices?

The third matter I want comment on is about a certain poster on here who seems to cause such uproar by is amateur game analysis that at times is a bit too sensitive. Does this poster not realise that he must be the problem given that it is not just one or even two people he's annoying bit it's numerous Hoganstand members?

Answers:
First point... Ban, name & shame
Second point... Cheaper gate tolls would help & make it more appealing with free tea or water & fun activities for entertainment for the children.
Third point... Name & shame those online critics who set out to demean our players.

On a different note, good to see two Fermanagh men recognised with rewards at Queen's GAA. Namely Tiarnan Bogue & Diarmuid King, very well deserved. I think Bogue had to take a step back this year due to his Uni course but would hope to see him back in the fold in the coming seasons as he is a very handy footballer and could potentially be utilised in and around midfield where we are a bit short at the moment. King is still very young but has the potential to become a top forward for us in years to come, looked promising in the minutes he got this year and has already become one of Newtown's key players.

We have a number of high quality players not in the county panel this year for one reason or another and one would hope they could get involved next year to bolster options. From a Fermanagh GAA perspective it's a pity that many of those Hogan Cup winning forwards ended up going down the soccer route, but you can't blame them.

I must say, the new additions this year in form of McShea etc. have been very good so competition for places next year could only be a bonus.

Club season has started, any other footballers posters would suggest could potentially make the step up to intercounty? McDade's from Skea perhaps?

On first point should definitely make sure you're aware of the facts before naming and shaming, I believe our head of referees in the county made it clear no spectators were involved. Perhaps the referee in question could use some support to help him manage the games a bit better, just a thought.

Thank you for your reply. Well if it weren't adults whether team managements or spectators are you telling me that a referee couldn't control some underage players?

No probs, you mentioned it was adult spectators. Was just correcting the point that no spectators were involved. In my view the referee had a bit of an over reaction to a common enough occurrence on the sideline (not condoning it) and left many in attendance perplexed as to what happened.

Keep in mind that the Leckers are well used to unseemly behaviour, dirty tactics on the field and verbal activity and my dad says he remembers one of your veteran players (well-known since) for his dirty play. It seems to be in the culture of you lot.
