Replying To galway19:  "Well done to Oranmore Maree. Another Div 1 Feile title for Galway after Turlough and Clarinbridge winning it the last few years. The Lohan stock from Clare in that team is strong. Frank involved and captained by nephew Gus Lohan who is a savage hurler."
The Lohan stock is from Galway originally. Frank and Brian's father Gus was a Cappy man.

One very tough group to call in the club championship with Castlegar, Oranmore, Ardrahan and Sarsfields in it. Any of the four could win that one. The others look a bit more straightforward. Turlough and Thomas' should top their groups fairly easily and I'd fancy Clarinbridge to win Group 2 ahead of Loughrea.

Yeah. Flip a coin in that group. Tough to call.

Yeah. It helps fill the void a little bit since the hurlers are done for the year. Hon Galway.

From the 2020 u20 football team that won the all ireland 13 of them have played senior football for Galway. The fullback line started v dublin. The hurlers could learn a thing or two about bringing through young guys and putting trust in them unlike dropping young hurlers after slogging through the winter

Except that Galway haven't won an U20 / 21 hurling All Ireland in many years and havent come anywhere close to it. I'm sure if we did, as many as 13 of them would be given their chance to nail down a place on the senior hurling team too.

Your completely missing the point of bringing players through. Going by your logic only if a u20 all ireland is won then these guys deserve to be brought through? There has been 5 or 6 minor teams beaming with talent and potential and even the 2018 u20 team that got bet by tipp in limerick and would have won only for 2 red cards and a ton of wides.

If those minor teams were truly 'beaming' with talent, they never lit it up at u20/u21 level.

Combine that horribly lacklustre under20 form, with a young 2017 senior allireland winning squad that very few were in a rush to retire from, and you have a scenario that no new talent of note emerges for 6 or 7or more? seasons.

Davy stepped down as Waterfords Manager. Could he be Galways next Manager if/when Shefflin steps down? Interesting timing as Waterford played well in a tough Munster group.

While you're probably right and I do agree with you I just have this nagging feeling that he might be next in line either this year or next. I often wonder if Anthony Cunningham would ever come back if asked.

No surprise to see Henry gone. Anyone at the Match v Dublin could see a lot wrong with the setup and a team not exactly giving everything for the cause,
