Kilmacud Crokes are a win away from claiming their 12th Dublin senior football championship title after edging Na Fianna by 1-12 to 0-12 at Parnell Park this evening.
Mark O’Leary’s goal in the run up to half-time was what proved the difference between the sides in the end, as the holders saw off a brave effort from their Glasnevin counterparts to book a decider date with Cuala in two weeks’ time.
Crokes had been 0-5 to 0-3 up when midfielder O’Leary got in for their goal in first-half injury-time, and early second-half points via Hugh Kenny and Paddy O’Connor would have them six to the good.
Na Fianna battled back though and, after a couple of David Lacey frees and points from Conor McHugh, they’d be within two but a breakaway point from O’Leary sealed a fourth final berth in-a-row for Crokes.
