Ballymun Kickhams edged out St Vincent’s by 0-10 to 1-5 at Parnell Park last night to seal their berth in the semi-finals of the Dublin senior football championship.

Dean Rock’s 0-7 contribution proved key for the 2020 champions after James Brady had netted a fifth minute goal for Vins who trailed by 0-5 to 1-1 at half-time.

Bill Costello’s free in the 56th minute had the sides all square but Rock’s free steered Kickhams back in front and they’d win out by two in end.

Yesterday’s other quarter-final in the capital saw Cuala record a 2-13 to 1-10 win over Castleknock to advance to the last four.

Eoin Kennedy and Con O’Callaghan netted goals either side of half-time for the Dalkey men who could afford to ship a Conor Chawke major with three minutes left in normal time.

This afternoon sees the other two quarter-finals down for decision at Parnell Park, with Na Fianna and Clontarf crossing swords at 3.30pm before holders Kilmacud Crokes meet Ballyboden St Endas at 5.30pm.
