Four Masters caused the shock of the first round of the Donegal SFC with a 3-9 to 1-7 victory over Gaoth Dobhair on Sunday.
Senan Carr’s first half goal helped the Donegal town side to a 1-4 to 0-4 interval lead before Killian Faulker and Alex McCalmont also raised green flags in the second half either side of a Daire Ó Baoill penalty for Gaoth Dobhair.
In the other first round ties, holders Naomh Conaill hammered Cloughaneely 3-14 to 0-4, Dungloe accounted for Glenfin by 1-11 to 1-7, Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon edged out Downings 1-13 to 0-14, while Sean MacCumhaills were 3-15 to 0-13 winners over Ardara.
