Well at least they used the right number of subs... Unlike some in the past.

I know there is the question of thd sub but Termon deserve real credit for the strides they've made. A lot of work has clearly gone in, and it's paying off on the field. St Eunan's face a bigger problem. Their underage development has slowed, with no new faces breaking through and few if any names appearing on recent Donegal underage squads. For a club of their stature - and given the population base in Letterkenny - that's a worrying sign for both club and county. The broader picture shows the gap narrowing. Eunan's and Naomh Conaill have come back to the pack, while others have kicked on. Four Masters look like future standard-bearers, though they may still be a season or two away from delivering. Gweedore looked good gainst McCumhaill's, despite conceding two soft goals. They're a well-rounded side. They have the potential to completely dominate the kickouts both their own and kilcars. Still, Kilcar - close to full strength again - will fancy their chances. Eoin mchugh would be a big addition, if fit. As for McCumhaill's, even if Oisín Gallen returns, he's wont be firing on all cylinders. St Michael's may have a little too much and I also wasn't that impressed with McCumhaill's against gweedore Ulsterchamps_32 (Donegal) - Posts: 936 - 15/09/2025 12:11:41 2636235 Link 0 |
Absolutely agree. It's still fair grounds for an appeal if Eunans decide to do so as it had a direct impact on the result.

Word at games is that Gallens ankle is like a balloon. Ankles a bad one to injure! I'd say he'll be missing. McCormack went off as well but they still had enough for Downings who I thought had a chance with that goal effort at the end. Can see St.Micheals winning! Kilcar will have too much for Gweedore!! Dangerous 11 attackers who can all kick 2ptrs!! Termon will take Glenties and Dungloe will see off Masters Whyme923 (Donegal) - Posts: 95 - 15/09/2025 12:29:16 2636240 Link 0 |
Your predictions have been inconsistent enough on the old Predictions Competition ;-)

Terrible Lockjaw.. As I stated, I wouldn't know much about Intermediate/Junior football as my club has not been there. I think I'm doing ok at senior just hard to get the correct score!! PaddyP won't want to see me coming later after work. $$$$ Whyme923 (Donegal) - Posts: 95 - 15/09/2025 14:22:10 2636269 Link 0 |
I would argue that four masters are possibly the most dangerous team left in the championship, they have the quality and will be in bonus territory from here on In. I get the argument that they may be a year or two away, but a funny thing can happen with young teams playing without fear, the talent is there, if it clicks they'll be more than a match for anyone.

They are definitely a team to watch. But there is no doubt about it - Dungloe will be a tough nut for them, and any other team to crack.

I think eunans have every right to appeal, the player who was meant to come off clearly affected the play and it ended up being the winner they are rightly aggrieved. If it was my own club I would be demanding they put in an appeal. Be interesting to see what the county board would do in the case, as they've bottled decisions before. Has to be sorted before this weekend Beolive92 (Donegal) - Posts: 3 - 15/09/2025 16:43:59 2636309 Link 0 |
Low odds for Michaels and Dungloe in my opinion, would fancy them both

Kilcar are a great price. Format of the championship needs changed anyway. A team losing multiple championship matches might now win it outright. Bring back straight knockout.

Patience is not your strong point. Not easy getting fields sorted with the the awful weather?
