thats hard to know and i would be sure they'll walk melvin, they looked a beaten team about 10 minutes into the Ballinamore. they have the quality to beat melvin but mentally they are weak.

Lot on here giving their two cents on st marys... the truth of the matter is the biggest town in the county can not produce a panel of players who are able to perform in championship football... how can a team win a league final and mere weeks later be in a relegation final?? management need to have serious look at themselves and players need to have a good look at themselves too.

on paper, st marys should walk the relegation final.. but its unchartered territory for the town team. Melvin gaels will be dogged and will work hard, they won't want to be back down in the intermediate ranks. carrick need a big turnaround and a good long look at themselves if they want to be taken seriously going forward.

i would love to see a fenagh leitrim gaels final.. i think both teams have been on a journey since their respective intermediate wins. My heart says fenagh might need to win this one or they might go another while without...

allen gaels look unstoppable at intermediate, but the calamity of last year's final will weigh heavily... i don't think we've seen annaduff are their best yet either. if they can get Cox back they have every chance.

St. Mary's problem is that there are plenty of their own club members happy to see them in this predicament. Lots of chiefs with different agendas.

From a footballing point of view, you didn't need a crystal ball to foresee that the new rules would make little difference to their tactics. Plenty of clues over the previous three years. Negative, lateral football is a thing of the past.

No surprise that the worst performers on the pitch were happy to see the regime stay on for another year.

another while without for Fenagh winning a senior championship ? just the 93 years they are currently waiting.

The junior championship looks wide open. Aughavas favourites ? Drumreilly ? Aughnasheelin losing to Glenfarne / Kilty.

Aughasheelin losing two games by a pt I see they'll still make a Q/F anyway but after that it'll be interesting to see. Eslin also struggling badly this yr after making Final last yr. Losing to Mohill second team a big blow to them. Aughavas and Drumreilly straight through to a Semi and a potential derby if both make the Final
