The next match is in Clones. Regards to yesterday, I've spoken before on how I love going to matches in Inniskeen, They do have great parking and facilities, but it is how they staff the ground which is the best. There is an abundance of people there to help. Everything is done with a smile and nothing is too much bother. If you have someone with a mobility problem, they are there to help as soon as you park, helping them over to their stand making sure they are comfortable, just generally caring.. I saw the opposite last year in Clones when the Ulster stewards are on duty, arguing with people over standing in the walkway too long (an hour before the match). Giving out to children, not knowing the facilities and generally just being mean and pushy.

Mohan being back will help the midfield. Think mcphilips has great potential and is worth his place for the year. McCarville and McBennett good back ups. Bobby McCaul huge potential also likewise. Agree on forwards new rules suit them albeit it is div 2. Garland is a live wire. Mccarron was a good presence in first half yesterday has the experience team needs and great penalty. Jones will improve the talent is there needs a run in the side. Its a pity players like aaron mulligan are no longer involved as new rules would suit him. Finally the biggest positive is having Beggan back 100% this year huge influence and presence on the side.

Can't argue with that. The loss of Michael Hamill is devastating, both for him and the team. Not all will agree, but another year in Div. 2 to give these lads lots of winning and game time and also to blood some more young fellows would be best for this team. We could be back dining at the top table in 2 to 3 years and possibly break through the glass ceiling that we would all like to see and appear in Croke Park on the last Sunday in July. The talent is coming through and in no small way that is thanks to the work of Paul O'Connor and others around him.

You should take a trip down to our training facilities some day. Sure look… like many times previously said on here. You have a hatred for Scotstown. No need to week on week play like a broken record

Yet again Uve a problem dealing with facts… on a wet day there's nowhere worse to watch a big game than scotstown.. as an earlier poster above said wheelchair access etc is also diabolical…but all this this would hardly effect you sitting on a high stool in moynas…

Yeah I know what you are saying but momentum is massive in sport. The team will have gotten a lot of confidence from three wins so far and will want to continue that form and promotion would mean guaranteed Sam Maguire for next two summers . Next year's div 2 could have derry Tyrone or mayo in it. League table shaping up well all teams in contention for something so be nothing easy. Louth next in drogheda v tough away game.

Stop splitting hairs. If we play all our home championship matches at Clones, then it's our county ground !

No too much damage to ground during storms in January they are using drogheda for league games I believe. Well their game today was there.

I'm no Scotstown man, but this has to be one of the worst takes I've seen on this forum.

How many trophies has your club won in the last 10 years? Scotstown deserves all the credit going for making use of what they have, while keeping so many cubs interested. There's other clubs who've got fantastic facilities like Truagh, Inniskeen, Magheracloone and there's other clubs with huge parishes and populations like Truagh, Carrick, Harps, Emyvale - all of which have won sweet FA in the last 15 years.

Enjoy your great facility's trophy lad.

Sorry pal I think your confused over what my post was about, I was on about outdated facilities as were a few other posters above, I never mentioned trophies or who has won what in the last 10 years…

Anyway back to the Cork game.. I thought we got away with one at the weekend with our goals scored keeping us out in front.. The Cork midfield had our number, while we have some big lads in there, they weren't aggressive enough going for the ball. Sean Walsh from Cork dominated it when it was sent long into the pack of players. He constantly got in front of Louis Kelly and Gavin McPhillips and either won or knocked it down smartly to his team mates. That was until Bobby McCaul was taken on and he was able to compete better for the kickouts..

Agreed midfield remains a worry after Saturday, and the smash-and-grab 3 goals did cover that up. Need McBennett fully back and Mohan as an option to relieve the pressure McPhilips. Still, any day Monaghan beat a Cork team in senior football is a good one.

Meath have definitely entered the chat by the way. Went down to see them yesterday in Navan and they bullied Roscommon out of the game for long periods, especially around the middle of the field. Their old guard Menton and Donal Keogan were superb, Ronan Jones and Frayne very good too.

Lad you should trying reading posts before commenting on them. Winning was never mentioned. It was their game day facilities. While they may be ok for their own league and championship games, they are not fit for purpose when it comes to any kind of County Final. Their attempt at hosting last year's Junior Final was an embarrassment.

You were gloating about their outdated facilities, saying they were out begging to get upgraded. I'm saying it's a competitive sport at the end of the day and while other teams are swanning about with hotel lobby clubhouses - Scotstown are focused on what matters most, sport for all and winning.

And some said I was crazy saying the roscommon game was the dress rehearsal for the final? Some worried about Cork? Cork football has been nothing short of a shambles for the best part of the last decade. Some now will probably say they are fearful of Louth and Meath

Yeh the games against Roscommon, Down and Monaghan are due for Drogheda now Ardee was damaged in the storm

When the original fixtures were released, our home game v Meath was moved to Inniskeen as Ardee is too small. Be interesting to see if Louth will try have it played in Drogheda especially if we need the 2 points (to stay up or a chance to go up)
