Peter Carley, Glenview, Castlepollard passed away on Monday, January 8th, 2018. Peter was a loyal supporter of Castlepollard Hurling Club. His son Martin served the club both as a player and at committee level, while his grandson Brian plays for the U16 and minor teams. His granddaughter Alisha Gavigan is a valued player with Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club. A native of Killulagh, Delvin, Peter represented Rickardstown Hurling Club prior to emigrating to the UK in the 1950s. He had a great knowledge of both gaelic football and hurling.
