UCD and TUD are the first two teams through to the Sigerson Cup semi-finals following their respective quarter-final victories over MTU Kerry and UL.
Last year's runners-up UCD cruised to a 5-18 to 1-4 victory over their Tralee opponents at Billings Park yesterday afternoon. Cormac Egan and substitute Paul Honeyman scored two goals each as the Belfield boys won with 26 points to spare.
TUD joined their Dublin counterparts in the last-four last night thanks to a 2-15 to 2-11 win over UL. Sean Jones and Jack Lundy netted at Grangegorman for a TUD side who signalled their intent with five early unanswered points from Jones, Jordan Morris, Danny McCartan (two) and Lundy.
The last two quarter-finals take place later today with holders UU hosting Maynooth University in Jordanstown at 3pm and DCU Dóchas Eireann facing TUS Midlands at 6.45pm.
