Replying To bloodandbandage:  "My God Exiled, that's some amount of resentment you're harboring when it comes to Munster hurling and the coverage of same. I was in Parnell Park on Saturday evening and it was easily the best hurling match of the weekend, a match Dublin thoroughly deserved to win, although I was surprised at how small and light the Wexford defenders were, which obviously, led to Dublin repeatedly going route 1 and making hay.
I wouldn't take too much stock in what 'pundits' say either, they've all got their own agendas, however I will say this; Munster hurling - whether you like or not - is the Golden Goose at the moment and until that wains or Leinster Hurling (outside of KK) starts winning AI's again, it will remain so for the foreseeable.
BTW - I think Dublin have a great chance of reaching Leinster. You would imagine the winners of Galway/Dublin meets KK in the final."

I think you're getting ahead of yourself.
Let's wait and see how Galway v Wexford in Round 3, and Kilkenny v Dublin in Round 4 go, before considering the permutations of matches in Round 5. And of course, there's also the possibility of an upset from Antrim and/or Offaly.

Best match of the weekend by a country mile.. followed by Antrim / KK (up to last 10 min). I had a pain in my face after watching the 2 Munster matches only to be subjected to them again on the Sunday game with Leinster hurling getting the graveyard slot - a joke..
I have to say Cork are sublime when they're in full flow. God help anyone who meets them when they put 70min together.

Where did I say the Munster Championship was not the Golden Goose at the moment? Yes it is. Undeniable fact.
My point is, and remains, that the condescension and patronising attitude towards the Leinster Championship, both in terms of coverage and downright hyperbole, is farcical.
The game of the weekend was in The Nell and TSG showed half an hour of highlights of 2 games they had on hours earlier and analysed them to death for a 2nd time only to give the Leinster Championship - and the best game of the weekend - the "round-up treatment".
They need to follow the Match of the Day model and show main highlights of the best games and stop showing highlights of games they had on that afternoon.

Viking - my point was in reference to the size and build of your defenders. The average age of the Cork defense is around 24 so not sure what your point is.

I get that was your point. That's the point I was answering. Most of the lads our lads were marking were older, and therefore had more Athletic Development done. Not sure what relevance Cork having tall backs has to your observations on a Dublin v Wexford game you went to.
You are blessed with the height you have at the back for sure, obviously our backs are done growing upwards!!! They will get stronger though.
Also you have around 4 times as many hurlers as we have, and probably over 10 times as many hurling only players, so by pure law of averages you are likely to have taller lads who can hurl well available. Dublin also would have a far bigger pick.
Finally we seem to be small people in general compared to other counties, not sure why that is tbh.

In fairness, it's probably a bit unfair comparing any defenders' size next to Hetherton - He's a monster of a man!

Its unfair but the next opponent is Conor Whelan for these Wexford players so we need to handle him better than we did at the weekend.
I meant to look in to it but what happened the pitch in Parnell Park?

Before they came there were loads of Vikings here. And a good population of Celts. And the Normans themselves were Vikings also, just ones that settled in France. Maybe Vikings just weren't tall lads like in the movies! Or maybe lads here should've ate more meat and less strawberries!

More Avonmore cream, less strawberries.
