And you've just proved my point…Trump slaps a tariff on because his friend he being harshly treated as Trump sees it….its childish nonsense and unbecoming of the office of POTUS. You said you like tariffs, you have your County as Galway. Galway very heavily dependent on US pharma multinationals as is my own. I'm guessing you want them all manufactured back in the US. You can turn the light off west of the Shannon if that ever happens. The damage would be catastrophic. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11728 - 06/08/2025 22:30:17 2630344 Link 1 |
Mr T and rasPutin to meet in the next few days. Mr Zelensky better put on a bit of armoured clothing as he will be going under the bus - again. Putin seems to hold all the cards during these luv - ins. Keep having visions of a golden shower, wonder why ? Freethinker (Wicklow) - Posts: 1791 - 07/08/2025 09:29:37 2630368 Link 0 |
Indeed, Putin holds most of the cards since he is winning the war slowly but surely at the moment. When you get all your news from MSM you are told it's practically a stalemate and at the current rate of progress it will take a 100 years for Russia to take all of Ukraine. True in simple terms if the Russian war tactics were first and foremost about gaining territory immediately but this is not the case. They are fighting this war like it is a chess game, the principle aim being to degrade the enemy, kill as many Ukrainian soldiers as possible, and in time so stretch the Ukrainian army that Russia with it's superior numbers are able to overrun them. They did this with the Germans in WW2 too...it's called a war of attrition -- very different tactics to conventional Western ideas. The propaganda and disinformation btw is going both ways. We are being fed by Stoltenberg , NATO and the EU two narratives that are contradictory. The first one is that the Russian economy is on the point of collapse and it will only take another little push and more sanctions to see it topple and possibly see rebellion on the streets. The other narrative we are being fed (which of course is designed to put fear in the minds of European citizens so that they will go along with the NATO/EU plan for increased spending on military) is that Russia is getting more powerful and that they are an existential threat to the West and that after taking all of Ukraine (despite it maybe taking them 100 years to do so!!!!) they will continue on and roll into Poland and the Baltic states. Only one of those narratives can be true if any. The economic collapse one has some plausability to it but the second one virtually none. Russia has been clear on its war aims for the last 2 years at least...they want to take the 4 oblasts and if they achieve that (still a long way from doing so) they'll settle for that. Great question but if he was in it don't you think Biden or Harris, etc would have released them? Why would they protect Trump of all people? But to answer your question I would support PRISON for anyone in it that did crimes. Including Trump.

I'm only guessing that's one of the reasons why Trump is going at Brazil. I don't know every reason. As for Galway it doesn't matter what I want or don't want for them. Trump was elected partially due to his "America First" stance. He's not President of Galway. The US is $37 Trillion in debt so his America First stance is very appealing to those who care about the National Debt.

Because I'm for a level playing field. The US is $37 Trillion in debt and finally someone is doing something about it. To answer your question: I, like many Irish Men might have investments in the USA. A lot of these countries weren't even paying their fair share to NATO until Trump came along!

I don't usually respond to people i think are clueless but I will make an exception. So here we go: 1. The Democrats didn't spend weeks and weeks on television making wild declarations about the Epstein files and making promise after promise that they would be released. 2. Trump isn't going to reduce the debt in American while he is in office he is actually going to increase it. And he will pull back on his macho trade stance as time goes on. I was no great fan of Biden and Harris but your posts are absolutely daft. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8461 - 07/08/2025 14:49:51 2630432 Link 0 |
You missed the whole POINT of my post. I'll try again. If Trump was in the Files and you were running against him for the Presidency why wouldn't you release the Files?!? Slam dunk! Concentrate on reading rather than insults.

And your national debt is rising significantly under Trumps presidency and showing no signs of going the other way.

Coming from the person who could not see trump winning the election some neck to call someone clueless Stevie wonder could see he had a great shot of winning even me who has no knowledge of politics could see he would likely win like 2016 jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1643 - 07/08/2025 16:59:09 2630459 Link 2 |
No sign? Ever hear of DOGE? There's BILLIONS coming in to the US in investment and tariffs, and other countries are starting to pay their fair share in NATO dues instead of the US paying 99% of it. You're probably against the tax cuts for Social Security recipients too. And the tax cuts on Tips. And the tax cuts of a portion of overtime pay.

You guys are ill advised to engage with that bot. Its claims are plucked from the Trumpian Truth Tenets. There is a claim in one of its posts about the US government paying 99% of the NATO budget. Total unresearched bull. Seems like the algorithm which runs it is triggered by certain key words, but mainly what comes out is total Trumpian propaganda. So, the next time it snoozes, please let it lie.
