Ha jeez a blast from the past. I have to say I often get very mixed up when it comes to dates and events during the Covid period. It really was a big blur.

Little did you think at the time that it would be heading back that way 2034. What amazes me is that people just accept that FIFA can be bought. I am sure the Irish team will ensure that we don't have to wrestle with our conscience over supporting a country with lets say, not the most stellar human rights record.

LAUGHING??? Errrr…..ok. https://nypost.com/2025/05/06/world-news/protests-erupt-in-china-as-trumps-steep-tariffs-bite-extremely-anxious/ Protests erupt in China after furious workers demand back pay as Trump's tariffs on imports jolt economy. Protests from furious factory workers in China demanding back pay are spreading across the country after President Trump's tariffs on Chinese imports began impacting the communist nation's economy. Unrest has been reported across the country as workers have taken to the streets protesting unpaid wages and challenging unfair dismissals following the closures of factories squeezed by US tariffs, according to Radio Free Asia. Anyone who knows anything about China will tell you these type of events happen on a regular basis as the level of corporate corruption is still a major issue. However a NY tabloid picked up the story and changed it to a protest because of tariffs and it gets lapped up by the ignorant. A clue in here should have been the protest was against a construction company, as well as being a badly corrupt industry, China has had a housing problem for the last 3 years of oversupply and finally China does not export houses to the USA. What the US people should be reading is about Xi in Moscow standing beside Putin.

But, standing beside Putin is where Mr T imagines he should be, is entitled to be. There is a reapproachment taking place in world geopolitics - and it isn't for the better for anyone who values our democratic way of life. Russia, China, Iran, North Korea - all standing shoulder to shoulder. Serbian and Dlovakian leaders were also present. I'm assuming the Belarusian president was there. Not sure about Orban, but I'd imagine he was there in spirit. I looked up that quoted news outlet which quoted that China protest and it is an extreme conservative outlet apparently.

Interesting…. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2509 - 11/05/2025 16:24:48 2608457 Link 1 |
Is there any logical reason why Mr T DEMANDS that Zelensky do his bidding while ASKING Putin to do something ?. What is this " special" relationship between the two ?? Freethinker (Wicklow) - Posts: 1623 - 11/05/2025 21:17:44 2608586 Link 0 |
We can all read the party line. We don't need you to be regurgitating it. Not learned anything since Covid mandate? BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3541 - 11/05/2025 21:53:20 2608603 Link 3 |
This is old news and you posted it in the past. However they are doing nothing new and Denmark has been doing this for longer. The idea is simple, some refugees who quite rightly got asylum may find its difficult to integrate into a western society. That's nothing new, Irish people all over the world struggle with this even in other western societies. If the conditions in their home country now allow it some may prefer to return but to what - everything they left is probably gone and they are penniless. Therfore the financial incentives are to allow they to return to their countries and start again. The problem is, despite some changes in the likes of Syria, the world is still a messed up place and its unlikely many take it up but for those who feel then can its the humanitarian thing to do - would you not agree?

Don't really see where you are going with this Barney. What I was trying to say, possibly not so successfully, is that Mr T would obviously feel more at home amongst those strongmen. But, shur, take what you like out of it, as you usually do.

You make good points - as usual. But, as I advised in an earlier post, there is no point in trying to make sense to that particular poster. Best to ignore him - or her, or it, whichever the case might be.

Obviously people can post what they want and by all means post your opinions on Trump or whoever. Spamming this thread with copied and pasted Pro-Trump "news" is another thing altogether and quite bizarre really when you think about it Breffni40 (Cavan) - Posts: 12357 - 12/05/2025 15:11:29 2608884 Link 2 |
If I was singing your tune you'd be fine with it. I post the links from various sites that are NOT Foxnews since we all know they are the bad guys. I try to keep a little balance between the anti-Trump and pro-Trump here. Again if I was singing your tune you'd be fine with it.
