If any previous President had press briefings like Trump had in the past week they would be described as incompetent, not fully with it or dangerous. But because Trump says so many crazy things it doesn't make the news. He will do none of the things he promised on foreign policy but it won't stop him saying daft and contradictory things on a weekly basis. His supporters on Fox and other outlets are already trying to explain why rising prices might be a good thing in some ways when it comes to his stance on tariffs and other policies he is implementing. I have no intention of getting involved in any debate with you. You quoted stats with no back up. I looked up the Dept stats and got different ones. Yours were bloated, to say the least. Other posters took exception to your " alternate facts also". The very best of luck to you and your beliefs, whatever they be. Cherish them while you still have them. There are factors and forces at play in the world presently that are trying to overturn anything and everything that makes sense to the vast majority of us. Just look at what Mr T and his pals are trying to push as the "solution" to the Palestinian Gaza problem. Only one to agree with him so far is Mr Netanyahu. And, if one Israeli minister has his way, you might have a couple of hundred thousand Palestinians to take into consideration on future school population trends and stats. To bring this plan to fruition there is no need whatsoever for any US boots on the ground. The Israeli military can do all clearing (ethnic clransing) for him. At least a million of the Palestinians would gladly leave Gaza to build a new life for themselves in Europe and elsewhere. If the other million resist, they can be slaughtered in the name of "destroying Israel's enemies". Those 10k bombs Trump is giving to the Israeli military and allowing them to use will "neutralise" most of the resisters fairly quickly and what's left can be picked off gradually after that. Trump's plan will "bring peace" to Gaza in the same way "peace" was brought 200 years ago to the Ahwahnee Valley in California when the native Americans were slaughtered and it was turned into Yosemite National Park. At a minimum Trump has been so much more transparent and open to the media than the previous man. There are two ways out of this for the Palestinians, get slaughtered, or leave. It makes no difference who's in the Whitehouse. Only difference being, they get to live now. Anyone who lays this at Trump's feet is not very bright. Speaking of Trump, I'm not a fan of any American politician but this chap is pure gold.
