Emyvale will fancy a run in Ulster and once the disappointment of relegation passes after the 4th pint I'm sure that's what they'll be talking about………maybe even Croke Park?"
Emyvale's history wouldn't suggest that.

wouldnt rate blackhill all that highly to be honest could find themselves in junior for a right while

Emyvale have been a major disappointment this year. Eoin Lennon joining as manager was a step for them to push on from last year but they were a few bad knockbacks for them before they season even started - losing Gallagher to the Adelaide crows was a major setback, but David McAllister going travelling was another loss and they'd already lost the highly promising Minor all star Matthew Finn to injury for the year. McAnespie has been struggling with various injuries most of the year. In what is one of the most evenly competitive intermediate divisions for years they could ill afford to lose that many quality players. Still none of that fully explains their capitulation over the past few weeks especially in a relegation group with 3 games left and with Gallagher back home from Australia as well. Losing becomes a habit and maybe they just couldn't shake that. A side with their potential really ought to have been much better. I didn't think Clones would have the backbone to beat them but they.

Anyway looking forward to Truagh v Carrick. Truagh looked excellent against Doohamlet. Truagh were full of pace and energy and had threats from everywhere. I'll be interested to see how Carrick match up to them. Carrick seem to less defensive than last year. could come down to place kickers being on form.

Emyvale have a lot of good young talent but a lot of individual players in that squad. It looks like they don't play as a team. Rumors has it that they have a lot of arguments within their squad which is disappointing because we might not see their full protentional anytime soon.

No rumour here. One of their main forwards walked away from the panel. I feel for the servants of the Emyvale club having to see current young players throw their toys out of the pram over minuscule issues. Especially when the club needs them most. I didn't think they could top the situation a few years back which resulted in them losing their best defender but they're doing their best top it!

its a good question. presumably anyone still involved with clubs wont be released. could potentially see Duffy get a call up. he's probably the most obvious person I can think of...maybe o'hanlon / mohan depending on results this weekend. be nice to see anyone really representing at ulster level even if it is a nothing game.

This would be very much in line with Castleblayney's formula they have adopted over the last 15-20 years. That is, poach players from Blackhill/Oram. They'd have been Junior 5 years ago only for their Blackhill contingent.
