Replying To naduntaabu2022:  "who is Daly is he even on panel?"
I assume he means Liam Daly, he was showing well for seniors in Challenges and got injured.

Replying To Fighting-Cocks69:  "In my prediction for the Loman's vs Downs match, I might upset a few Blues fans, but without players like O'Hara, McCartan, Gaffney, Geoghan, O'Toole, and potentially TJ or Fola withe county or travelling They'll be missing a large part of their main cohort. While they'll still have many of their usual backs, they'll be lacking key forwards, apart from Dempsey and Plunkett."
Missing young kenny aswell he is out injured I hear but he does have a twin who could have big year this year, Sean plunkett is also still underage so he cant play this year.

Replying To Fighting-Cocks69:  "Do you reckon many from the CBS team will break into the starting 15?"
There are not that many of the CBS team that are u19 (in their second year u20). Most of the team are still in school next year. Team was backboned by the Leinster junior winning team from last year.
u18s don't tend to make the u20 first 15.
Thornton likely starter as he was on the panel last year. There are a few more on the panel.

It's doubtful as they're not really training or playing matches due to Saturday all Ireland semi final. Matthews Thornton could possibly start but more likely an impact sub for 20s, who else is on under 20 panel?

Adam Neary got to Australia.
Tang are looking for someone capable scoring 7 or 8 points a game.

Brilliant analysis of the weekends game v Cork and other games on last nights Iarmhi Inter County podcast-great listening to Dennis Glennon's take on things past and present and the general sensus us that this management team and young squad are doing their best and the bickering and snide comments from people who dont even attend games is not helping.Get out and support these young lads-they are the future.

Eoin Conlon, Conor Heffernan, Matthew Thornton, Oisín O' Hara, Darragh Smith, Donnacha Maguire and Conor Daly from starting 15 all 19 in 2025, prob one of the reasons they're doing so well, great blend of mature lads plus talented 17-18 year olds like Byrne, Scahill, Maloney, Masterson and Sheerin.

Replying To Overthebar85:  "I would have Matthew Thornton in corner forward. He was a good leader for cbs and it's his second year on the 20s panel. It's a pity scahill isn't eligible for this competition but judging by the schools final he will be one for the future. I'd love to see mikey weir playing too."
Why is scahill not eligible. I think he is to young to be playing but he is eligible I'd say.

A rough stab at the u20s, have only seen them in Abbottstown and from talking to a few but the lineup seems to be shaping up something like the following:

1. Luke Nicholson (Athlone)
2. Seanai Bracken (St. Loman's)
3. Adam Keane (Rosemount)
4. Sean Dillon (Milltown)
5. Taylor Slevin (Tubberclair)
6. Peter Murphy (St. Malachys)
7. Aodhan Curran (Moate)
8. Tadgh Baker (Caulry)
9. Shane Ormsby (Mullingar)
10. Kealen Connell (Tubberclair)
11. Jack Duncan (Milltown)
12. Ronan Murray (Moate)
13. Shane Corcoran (St. Malachys)
14. Tom Bourke (Tubberclair)
15. Matthew Thornton (Multyfarnham)

I could be excluding someone very obvious, I haven't spotted Rory Cole who was involved last year, and I think Bracken and Daire o Connor are currently unavailable. Certainly seems a talented team on paper.

Billy Moffatt flying at the moment could see him in instead of one of those midfielders

You know School's Out when the St Loman's youngsters are on here talking up their mates, St Loman's management had a meeting with players about info being leaked on this forum before the County Final replay.

He's still minor (u17) so he is ineligible.

The tag name of the poster and the player mentioned for the 20's are both the Downs, how did Lomans Management and leaked top secrets come into that

Replying To Overthebar85:  "Watched Westmeath u20s play in abottstown on Sunday vs Wexford and was impressed. They didn't have ormbsy playing (presumably as he was on matchday squad for seniors day before) but were still impressive. Murray kicked some lovely frees and was effective throughout the game both in attack and defence. Baker came off injured in the first half with his hand but I don't believe it to be a big injury. Keane played 15 mins at the end and kicked a point. I would have hope for this team during the 20s campaign this year."
Good to hear but every year we hype up our own 20s and the flatter to deceive. Every county will have promising footballers too. Not to be negative but I'm not getting carried away til I see a few good performances against good opposition.

I don't see how you could call that getting carried away. Just commented it was an impressive performance.

You mentioned you have hope for them to do well, what would they have to do to have achieved this? You didn't but some people on this forum tend to get carried away with our young players

Definitely didn't see some of those players be part of the panel but great to see new blood all the same needs it badly."
I don't see Joe Moran well worth shot in the half back line
