Replying To Taypot:  "It's nothing to do with football. Respect for the deceased. Now drop the subject please"
Imagine he then decides to double down on his original post. For shame.

Replying To Anto:  "Admin has blocked my last 2 posts so all I'll say is I stand over my original post. I heard the info from one of the players involved and some of his family members. If you don't believe it, that's fine."
If this what I think it's about, you'd want to cop yourself on badly...

I would like to respond to the charge of disrespect of the deceased made by the Taypot and johncreilly. It's totally false and incorrect narrative and they are using this disrespect charge to deflect from the point I made. I have made my point and once this has been posted I will consider it closed.

Replying To Sligonian:  "I agree Westvoice.

O Hara is the new manager of Boyle. They've probably underachieved last few years with the Smith brothers and Cregg etc on their team."
Underachieved this year not helped with injuries to defenders and key forwards coming back from America.

2022/23 reached back to back county finals losing by one point and won a first ever Div 1 league title. Before 2022 Boyle hadn't reached a county final since 1927.

There are consequences to what we say on here as players read it. It affects a players well being. That is why I try not mention players in a critical way as much as possible. As a manager there are consequences to how you man manage, how you communicate to players.

There are consequences to how we treat each other on here too but there are also clear agenda's. I receive personal abuse all the time on here because of my opinion on McEntee as a manager or even on my expectations for Sligo. It is all about controlling the narrative and public perception.

I don't like having the bye first round in the u20, those fixtures look just a reverse venue on last year? Not sure how the bye is worked for both age groups. .

What a load of waffle. What are you referring to now? Knowing some of those players, I'd doubt very much they'd heed you anyway.

You don't get any personal abuse here. You wax nonsensical lyrics and you are told to keep quiet . You have a serious agenda against the Sligo manager who has done well. You abuse players by constantly naming a few players by insisting that they should be playing. These players can't be comfortable reading this rubbish. Then you change your forum name and agree with yourself.

Id agree players should not be mentioned. If Sligo have a good league I'll change my opinion re McEntee but right now I don't see D3 as success. If you don't agree, fine, we will see how the season goes. There was a time here when you could give an option and it was discussed objectively without getting personal. Sligonian has said a lot over the years that I didn't agree with and was critical... however slating someone's club because of there option on county matters just shows how social media discussion has changed.

I imagine this site will close for the holidays and judging by the posts lately from some people a rest might be no harm. Wishing you all the best for the festivities ahead and hopefully we will come together in the New Year and the tone will be lighter and more positive.

Hope to see Sligo push on in 2025 and build on 2024. A Connacht title is within grasp, only to grab it. Best of luck!

Bit sour are we ? The lads you are referring to are living in the area and most of them are there a few years. Some are married with kids.
