Aye indeed, But his in yours, or you in his?! Dick is irrelevant, in Monaghan and Donegal people's minds both. Eddie the Exile (Monaghan) - Posts: 1263 - 27/06/2025 11:46:52 2621467 Link 0 |
When you read the article though, he is very complimentary of Donegal's on field achievements in Croke Park and is backing them to win tomorrow.

If they topped their group they got an extra week off. Did nobody tell Jimmy this :(

It didn't take long for my point about Dick Clerkin to be proven. One day lol. Him and Sean Cavanagh are transparently anti Donegal and have been for a long time. Neither man remembers the McGuinness first era with too much fondness.

Given that a second placed team was punished for having a home game and a third placed was rewarded for having an away game, referring to group winners is irrelevant.

really looking forward to talking to a few donegal heads...cant wait to see all the colour in croker tomorrow and the atmosphere should be electric...hoping for a full house, especially in the second half and if monaghan, donegal and officials do their best I wont ask anymore regardless of result - we've had a positive year so far... Is there any point engaging in a discussion when you don't seem to understand the very basic premise of Donegal's 6 day turnaround versus a 7 or 8 day turnaround being given to Galway and Kerry who have played less championship games? How many times does it need to be explained like. Nothing to do with topping a group.

Was more so a sly dig at the Monaghan supporters lurking in here. In reality , all the other teams apart from Meath would beat them comprehensively eddieSize5Balls (Donegal) - Posts: 182 - 27/06/2025 17:21:24 2621583 Link 0 |
For whining see Gabriel Bannigan and Co after we beat yee in clones, have the lads read the rules yet?

Good luck to Donegal. That's two years in a row I stayed in Donegal and you could not meet friendlier people. As Arnie would say I'll be back. Ollie2 (Louth) - Posts: 1074 - 27/06/2025 18:44:56 2621609 Link 0 |
I think we will hit the ground running tomorrow as we are definitely battle hardened winning tight games against mayo and armagh. The only outlier is the tyrone game where we simply didn't show up. We we would have been beaten by any of the remaining 7 teams on that nights performance. totalrecall (Leitrim) - Posts: 1096 - 27/06/2025 18:46:14 2621612 Link 0 |
The countdown is on and looking forward to the games tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be decent weather wise come game time. I see Jason has been named to start but hard to know how Jim will play this. Jason done well coming on against Monaghan the first day but conversely big Hughie brought a swathe of energy and momentum when he came on the last day. I expect McColgan will definitely start given his form. Monaghan will have some job trying to curtail him along with the likes of Mogan, Moore, Ban, Roarty and not forgetting Ryan McHugh. I think a dry sod on Croke Park are really going to suit these lads. Will Monaghan look to lock down Mogan after the damage he done the first day? There are a few fires to keep in check. That's not to say Monaghan don't but we've generally done well on our match ups including in game like last Sunday. It should be a fantastic game with not much between the teams but I think and hope we can win by a couple of scores. panamasam (Australia) - Posts: 2878 - 27/06/2025 18:49:35 2621616 Link 0 |
