Replying To shaggykev:  "Only Nally and restricted view on sale on ticket master

Game heading for a sell out already or are ticketmaster playing silly buggers?"
There's a junior all Ireland semi finals on Friday evening with London, New York, warwickshire and Kilkenny and the winners play the junior all Ireland as a curtain raiser. I guess they'll have to be keeping a few seats back for the supporters of these teams that get to the final. And I doubt there there the first three rows of the davin stand

There's a definite element of that. You want to be in with your own family and friends and not dotted around everywhere and getting tickets through the club should facilitate this.

Replying To Al_Maguire:  "There's now an article on Donegal Live that the club allocation has now doubled to 6,000 tickets. Still short on order though.

Also noted below. The club method may become a thing of the past for most matches.

"Coughlan revealed that in conversations with officials from Meath and Kerry during the week, she learned those counties don't distribute tickets through clubs unless it's for a provincial or All-Ireland final.

She believes Donegal may have to consider adopting a similar model to avoid the confusion and frustration experienced this week.""
For a number of years the only tickets you could buy from clubs in mayo was all Ireland tickets. Tickets for all other games was through season tickets or ticketmaster. Clubs were ordering tickets and people were changing their minds or picking up good ones on ticketmaster so clubs were left paying for the tickets.

If Kilkenny make it some of those tickets are going to Donegal supporters.

Thats fair enough but club members should have been told in advance if theÿ weren't getting tickets through their clubs so they could have got tickets on Ticketmaster. As it stands a lot of club members don't have tickets for Sunday's match.
I can see a huge drop in club membership next year because of the mess created by Croke Park.

Replying To Scenicparish:  "There is no guarantee. However Club Members should be entitled to purchase tickets through their clubs before they go on general sale through Ticketmaster.

In other words if Donegal have 13k Members that amount of tickets should have been set aside and resold through Ticketmaster at a later date if they weren't purchased through the clubs.

Club Members are the heartbeat of the GAA in each County. Surely they should get tickets before they are sold randomly on Ticketmaster."
At the very least, there should be better communication from the GAA on how tickets will be allocated, so that fans and club members know well in advance what the Annual plan for tickets will be.

Replying To BeardedBorderGael:  "For some supporters it will be simply because they've always done so, also some older supporters may not be tech savvy or have the ability to order online.
It may also be the case that if their county was to reach the Final (when no tickets are on general sale) that their club may give priority to those members who ordered tickets with them throughout the championship."
Senior clubs in cork got 20 stand and 24 terrace each for final. Once executive members, sponsors, players, trainers etc are looked after there isn't any tickets left for ordinary members.

In the gaa website there is a section dedicated to its purpose, vision and values.2 points that are worth notig
Value
Community and Club is at the heart of our Association
Vision
Communication - striving for a more connected Association

The club is clearly not at the heart of the association when it comes to tickets and by the look of things they'll be striving for a long time to create a more connected organisation.

Really hope that when all is said and done that we do get great support for the lads on Sunday. Meath will likely outnumber us, so we really need to make ourselves heard encouraging the lads. I think it's vital that we start well and not be giving a talented Meath team any opportunity to seize the initiative.

It was funny trying to explain to my young kids that this doesn't just happen all the time. They've been spoiled with sucecss since Jim came back. Forget 2026 and whatever else is down the line. We need to strike now when the iron is hot.

There's 259 clubs in Cork, only 40 in Donegal. Bit of a difference.
