Michael Carroll would be the most likely out of the London boys, possibly Ciaran Diver.

Oh not for Donegal, It's the club they were on about Whyme923 (Donegal) - Posts: 14 - 13/11/2024 16:19:31 2579546 Link 0 |
Carroll, Mulligan & MacNiallais would give Gaoth Dobhair a big boost. They weren't wild far away last year. Maybe lacking that wee bit of elite quality to get them over the line against the likes of a Eunans or Glenties. The aforementioned trio would provide that if all were available & going well.

Donegal are training collectively. Does anyone really care? So are other teams. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8143 - 14/11/2024 14:21:20 2579614 Link 0 |
No they're not. No training in November. If you have evidence of collective training then get it out there, anything less than that is just speculation.

But they aren't training collectively yet, just troll accounts speading that.

Gaoth Dobhair remind me a bit of the Donegal Senior team in the early 2000's, they always have lots of top talent within their ranks, but just can't keep everyone onboard and focused/dedicated. If they could manage that, they would be a serious long-term threat to Naomh Conaill and St Eunans.

I am loving the siege mentality lads. It's hardly the biggest secret in the world. As i said they are not the only ones. Who cares? TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8143 - 15/11/2024 09:12:12 2579679 Link 0 |
I don't think it's a question of focus/dedication. The lads that are available train as hard and are as dedicated as any. Gaoth Dobhair suffer more in terms of emigration perhaps. You could list Cian Mulligan, Odhran MacNiallais, Naoise O'Baoíll, Michael Carroll, Kieran Gillespie (although unfortunately injured again, has also recently departed). Look I know every club suffers similarly, but I don't think that anyone could dispute that if the above five were at home and fit, they'd be serious additions to any team. I take your word that Mayo and other Counties are already back at collective training already, I have no issue with that, but I believe Donegal currently aren't. Trolling on here is a major problem

That's no bother. And i think you know i am not a troll.

I agree with this and lockjaw's comment about lads heading off. Add in Neil and Eamon to that list from last year but credit to the rest of the players who put the head down and train/play. Got to a semi this year and lost to Eunans by a point. I see glenties coming back strong this year along with Four Masters making the final. A great win for Naomh Padraig Muff tonight. Fair play to them and a great week ahead for them before their Ulster Final next weekend. dats_rite (Australia) - Posts: 12 - 16/11/2024 18:54:25 2579887 Link 1 |
Harsh that they're playing in the u-21 championship tomorrow, think there's a fair few 21s on their team too.
