Replying To tidytownman:  "Great to have Murphy back. Wonder will Jim give him the captaincy back or keep Paddy as the captain?"
I think Murphy should be Captain again, he is a natural born leader, looking forward to 2025, if we'd had him this year I think we could have gone all the way.

There is no way Eoin Mc Hugh will start over Curran. Difference night and day between the 2 players.

Absolutely Moore has to start and I feel like Daire has earned his starting spot as well. Hopefully OMF can get back to full form but I don't see Eoin McHugh being near a starter tbh.

Great to see Murphy back again, if he was involved last year who knows what might have happened.

A reverse retirement to retire again in less than 2 years. Bold move Cotton, let's see if it pays off.

Agreed. Moore's athleticism, ability, versatility & by all accounts, attitude, dictate that he's an automatic starter now.

I think we need one more out and out corner back who is capable of & relishes one-on-one defending. Conor Morrisson maybe? Although maybe he's unable to commit due to his work circumstances.

Wow. What news to filter through I refused to believe the rumours. Now we can properly believe. The king is back.

Don't rest on our laurels let's add loads to the panel. Lots of impressive Eunans lads eg Morrison. You have to feel O Donnell has kicked it up a gear too.
Jim is shrewd enough to know what players we need for the new rules. The addition of Jason Campbell would surely shore up our midfield and you would imagine himself and Murphy would interchange very well.

Patton
Ban
Mc Cole
Morrison
Mogan
Mc Gonagle
Mc Fadden Ferry
Thompson
Campbell
Langan
O'Donnelk
Ryan
Gallan
Murphy
Paddy.

Is there any chance of Odhran coming home from Australia

Yeah if these new rules do come in we might see a need for more traditional defending and attacking. Whilst it's obviously great that we have Murphy back to take advantage of things going forward, we'll also need to be wary of minding the house too. Can ya imagine trying to contain the likes of David Clifford if he's getting good early ball in more space than what he's previously been afforded?!?

Defenders will be under huge pressure this year. Great having Murphy back but at the end of the day we need to unearth these sticky man markers. Coaches will work hard on getting the early ball into there forwards. It'll Be interesting to see how the managers approach it. If mc fadden ferry fit it's going to be a huge help I rate this lad highly. Young Muldoon from four masters is in too a very gifted player but definitely one for the future.. hopefully injuries will be at a minimum.

Why stop there, the three McGees after winning a championship with Gweedore, any chance of them togging?

I thought he struggled against Greene in the final and was also in bother against Gaoth Dobhair. My opinion of course

I'm not sure Muldoon is an option unfortunately, I think he signed a contract with Sligo Rovers. It's a pity because he is class.

Good to see a gent like Murphy back. He'll hope the 2 point rule stays, made for him.

With Murphy back, also having gallen and mcbrearty,if those 3 can be left 3 on 3 they will test any defence..all 3 are scorers to..

Does anyone know when the county convention is? Hoping the new people that got elected, stay on for another year, especially the PRO, website is far better now and updates across the social media sites are very good too. See her at the ulster club games too, so maybe she is eyeing up a bigger position in the Ulster council.

definitely, the PRO has done a brilliant job, definitely an improvement on what went before. Even this week we had updated on the social media during a McRory Cup game.
One concerning thing I saw this week was the appointment of a new U20 manager. Seems to be a lack of transparency about the process and it looks like last year's manager wasn't given the option to come back. Would have thought the job should be advertised so others could apply?

We should have a big crowd for the Dublin game Feb 1 under lights.Good to get 4 home games and I suppose the only downside is that our away games are all far away.It might have been better if our away games were against our neighbours.

Great to be away to Galway. Always a good spot for some beers!
I think someone had Eoin down as a corner back here? No chance he's as useful there as other options.
