Replying To gunman:  "Would he be interested in the Derry job?"
I'd say Bonner will go wherever he gets the best treated at this stage, he has done well for Erne Gaels for sure, first Championship since 1981.
RG's home club ironically enough, so that's a double celebration for our own declansboy.
Hard to believe Derry haven't selected one of their own county men for the job.

Not sure about successive years but I know Kevin Johnson has won senior championship in Mayo with Ballintubber & in Halway with Corofin. Might have a Sligo senior as well, not sure on that one.

They weren't successive years I think. It's not easy to achieve because if you win a c ship you usually stay on or take a break.

Good but coming back doesn't always work

The Armagh and Tyrone ones are already getting nervous and Murphy is only back less than an hour, great to have the big man back in the fold

Look who is back. The rumours were right and they certainly were very strong when I was up just over a week ago however I've been burned before with rumours around the hills. Fantastic news. You could really see in Michael's eyes how hurt and disappointed he was by the Galway loss when in the studio for the BBC. He'll be managed correctly too. Roll on next year I cannot wait.

He was the main beneficiary of some lads throwing their toys out of the pram in another club because one of them was dropped

Great to hear that Michael is giving it another crack. No matter what happens in 2025, his legacy as Donegal's GOAT is secure. With the new rules hopefully coming in, it could be exciting times watching him operate as a traditional full forward again. With the new rules, and the number of realistic contenders, the 2025 championsip could be fantastic!

Michael wouldn't be coming back without being 100% committed and that's enough for me. With Jim at the helm we have be hugely optimistic for 2025.

The squad is looking like it will be a lot stronger. Murphy and McFadden-Ferry back involved and who knows what other players will emerge. This time last year few would have predicted that Ciaran Moore would become an established starter. Hopefully exciting times ahead!

At the end of the day Erne Gaels are champions, and going by reports deservedly so. Players leave squads and always will it won't bother Erne Gaels or bonner. Another championship to his already impressive cv lad..

I still think we are one corner back away. Eoin mc Hugh, Moore, Mc Colgan, Curran, Finbar all options and if one of those can grab the spot, we will go close.

I think the below team is the best way to approach it. Leaving our bench strong and impactful. Not necessarily the best 15 starting.

Patton
Ban
Mc Cole
Eoin Mc Hugh
Finbar
Mc Gonagle
Mc Fadden Ferry
Thompson
Langan
Mogan
Shane
Ryan
Gallan
Murphy
Paddy.

Subs
Conor O Donnell
Moore.
Daire O B.
Niall
Jason Mc Gee
Mc Colgan
Odhran Doherty
Jeaic Mc Kelvey
Curran
Hughie.
Kevin mc gettingan

I'm definitely forgetting a few players too. We have fresh depth if everyone is fit. And stays that way. My worry would be the full back line and full forward line for injuries. An injury to mc cole or Gallan and it's worrying.

Great to have Murphy back. Wonder will Jim give him the captaincy back or keep Paddy as the captain?

I'm all for impact from the bench, but Moore needs to start every game. He's too good and too versatile to be an impact sub.

Cracking player. Think he's even more effective when a game opens up and is not running into crowded defences. When the game stretches.
