Replying To Seanfan:  "Is Andy Moran from Ballaghadereen, Co. Roscommon one of the 3 natives?"
Doubt it. Isn't Moran supposed to be competing with Tony McEntee for the Mayo job. I don't know who the three are but at a guess, Noel Dunning, Nigel Dinneen and Mark Dowd.

Maybe Frankie? Be great to get it done this coming week.

Listened to Diarmuids interview on the Ros podcast. Very honest and a real decent lad. Great that he's hoping to give it another crack next year.

Good to see Diarmuid staying on.
Hopefully Enda likewise.
Not sure if Ciaráin or Davy Murray will go again while Niall Daly's ongoing injury likely to rule him out.

In an ideal world we'll appoint the best manager with the right backroom and it will happen in the coming week.

Id say Ciaran will stay on. He had a poor year but he has so much to give.

You don't think he'd throw his hat into the ring?

Wouldn't put me up or down if he went for it. It would be all about who the background team is.

He oversaw them winning the Championship for the first time in 18 years last year, What do you mean not setting the world alight. What more could he have achieved at this stage?

Has done as much as Dowd, Dunning or FOD who will more than likely get the job.

Looking forward to this weeks fixtures. Two very inetresting games on friday, Pearses and Clann and Oran v Gaels. Glaveys v Elphin and Dominics v Faithleachs should also be good battles.

He can throw his hat in the ring if he wants. Can't see our CB giving the job to him tbh. Hasn't got the head and composure for the line. We as a county deserve better.

Doubt Fergal O'Donnell will go for the job but he won an All Ireland Minor title with Roscommon ( our first in 55 years) and a Connacht senior title( when Roscommon were a lower division team) . Frankie hasn't done anything at inter county. Frankie Dolan is not ready to be Roscommon senior manager at this time and I wouldn't see him getting it.

According to "tonymac" on stolensheep we're still approaching candidates.
He's usually well informed

Dowd and Dunning are in the running. Not sure where the Fergal O'Donnell rumours started as he wasn't nominated by any clubs or has been recently approached by the county board AFAIK.

He could likely could be part of the new management team as a coach/selector likewise Frankie Dolan and Frankie already had that role with the U20s in 2024.

Cavan and mayo have appointed new managers and not a word of anything in roscommon. Are we actually waiting to see who's left when all counties have positions filled.
