There's no point in bringing in Donaghy or any other high-profile individual if they're not going to be listened to. We already have a high-profile figure from Corofin in the backroom team, and apparently his input is as limited as everyone else's. He's not going to bring in many, if any, new players either, his championship team is already picked, and he'll just focus on getting those players fit. Along the way he'll give token games to others so he can say they had their chance, but when championship comes around it will be the same players in the same positions. In his defence, there aren't many standing out in the championship so far to change that.

Replying To togoutlads:  "Yes, I see that alright re Galway United being let into Pearse Stadium. I wonder can we now ask United to kindly stop our underage talent involved in their soccer academy from being daftly prohibited from playing football and hurling for their clubs. Reminding them also to stop filling parents and kids in that academy with talk of professional soccer careers, when the stats are that just 3% or even English Premier league clubs' academy players make it to top flight pro level and only 7% of those lads get a renewed contract after their teen years contract! Pipe dreams being sold and club GAA years sadly being missed out on. It's nonsense."
Wonder if Mountain South will become a joint venture with Galway United as Paul Bellew mentioned that big training facilities being shared will become the norm going forward.Has this been factored into the decision to allow Pearse Stadium to be used?

Once apparently is in post it means you haven't a clue what sort of input he has or hasn't.

In fairness to Joyce since 22 brought Maher Darcy in from cold when looked like IC careers passed them by.

Thompson thrown in last year and brought hernon back in 2024 when away for first half of year.

I'd expect to see likes of Ryan Roche Colm Costello given a chance to impress next year.
