Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "Mayo might win the all Ireland with these rules. Aidan O'Shea kicking scores like he never kicked in a Mayo shirt. John Daly good enough for Connacht, not good enough for Galway. To add insult to injury, Conor Gleeson landed a 2pointer ground ball from exactly the spot where Walsh 'went short' in the all ireland final."
We'll probably lose the final by a point and blame the new rules claiming we would have won under the old rules!

Listen to Padraig Joyce interview after match he said he liked the idea of keeping 3, up he said he wants main forwards to be up the field and also said with this rule teams will not be able bring everyone back and give up kickouts,, was he not manger of Galway v Armagh and he did exactly that galway gave up kickouts until 5 mins left he also had Walsh snd comer chasing defenders back most year and people wonder how galway lost when there manger not even know what was happening,,,

Hopefully not. Jayo is who they need. Dolan has zero coaching pedigree yet; Galway can't be taken chances at this stage in their development on someone who potentially may be a good coach in yrs to come. They need the finished article now. Time is not on the side on our most important players.

Kilmacud lose the Dublin final so looks like Shane will get a break until they are back in with Galway.

Jason Sherlock should be good - we also need to be looking at David Morris and Joe Canney who would add loads to the coaching team.

Dave morris 100% agree with that, joe Canney no way a total spoofer,
Talk is Dessie Dolan is coming on board don't think he will be anywhere near as good as Cian O'Neill tho

Not a bad shout to be fair if true . Very experienced , only slight caution I have is will he bring on our attacking game? O Neill did a fantastic job on defensive structure but I think our attack needs work. There is more in that forward line than we have seen. I'd like to see one or two more natural forwards given a more sustained chance , we saw a lot of midfielders in the forwards this year and while some did really well, Darcy and McDaid etc , you would prefer to have had a natural corner forward come on for Finnerty for example especially with the way Armagh were set up. Come on Padraic, pick up the phone to Dave Morris or someone like him (as well as M Graham as he said he getting 2 coaches)

We can kiss goodbye to division 1 anyways. When Graham was with Cavan he brought them from division 1 to division 4 in 3 seasons.
Very hard to wish him well after the stunt he's pulled on Leitrim.

Is Mickey Graham a coach or a manager?
He has gotten underdogs over the line but he'd need to be a bit of an innovative thinker to make Galway All Ireland champions.
If he's a defensive guru and can improve kickouts, and if a forwards coach is coming in, I'd be happy. But I just feel underwhelmed by this.

Heard he took the Leitrim job and was informed afterwards that he'd be without a good bunch of players who were going travelling, don't know the full truth behind that now. I'm sure the reasons will come out in time
Simple choice for a coach though isn't it, Leitrim or Galway. As much as I've great time for Leitrim people

Will an innovative thinker improve Galway's shooting once they return to All Ireland final? As Galway's shot efficiency that was good against Donegal,Dublin was then poor against Armagh.

He never actually accepted the job. He was told some fairy tales to get him interested and when he investigated he found out over 10 players were off traveling next season. So declined the job as he was sold a pup
