Martina's loss was felt all across the north Meath area. A native of Patrickstown, Martina excelled between the posts in the hugely successful Moylagh ladies team of the early 80s. She went on to represent both Meath and Leinster. Later in her career she was joined on the Moylagh team by her daughters, Gemma and Sarah and when her playing days finally ended she became heavily involved behind the scenes as Chairperson and manager of the club. A busy woman, she was also a keen golfer, member of SVP and a talented dressmaker.
