Sorry didn't mean to be so blunt. I know who you mean but he has been good to us in as many as he has been bad. I don't buy into theories that refs have that much of an influence. Fans perceptions can be skewed at times sceptical (Cavan) - Posts: 544 - 12/03/2016 12:41:56 1833836 Link 0 |

I'd love to know the times when that referee has done us any favours Sceptical. Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 12/03/2016 21:55:11 1833970 Link 0 |
Good win. We're in a great position now in the league, does anyone know what the permutations are if we win our last two games? Are we up then? Ned_Stormcrow (Cavan) - Posts: 1071 - 12/03/2016 21:55:55 1833971 Link 0 |
Great win last night. Good to see a few different players getting scores. marita (None) - Posts: 468 - 13/03/2016 09:13:55 1833982 Link 0 |
Ned we need Derry to drop at least one point. If us and Derry finish on 10 they go up on head to head. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 13/03/2016 09:36:23 1833985 Link 0 |

Another good win. Johnston getting a lot of praise for his performance and while deserved I'd like to also congratulate Ray Galligan, nailing frees, great kick outs and also now making important saves. Perhaps those that were saying to get rid of him might like to acknowledge this although they all seem to have stopped posting in the past few weeks. I'm sure they'll be back when we lose next. fredflint (Cavan) - Posts: 1485 - 13/03/2016 09:43:46 1833987 Link 0 |

Sean if Cavan Derry and Tyrone all finish level then it's points difference. Only head to head if only two teams on same points. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 13/03/2016 10:20:33 1833994 Link 0 |
Well another great performance from Seanie last night he has definitely instilled confidence in this group of lads all looking for the ball and ll helping each other giving each other confidence. I have to say our goalie had the dream game ,he has come on a lot fair play to the lad. Terry Hyland must be commended as well as i had my doubts at the beginning of the year. Long may all this last and look forward to next two games asitis (Cavan) - Posts: 233 - 13/03/2016 10:52:01 1834000 Link 0 |
Good crowd in Brewster last night, hopefully we'll see the Cavan supporters come out in numbers now as the end of the league approaches and we have a chance at promotion. Ned_Stormcrow (Cavan) - Posts: 1071 - 13/03/2016 11:29:35 1834011 Link 0 |
Ned, I would like to ask you a question. Do you still have the same opinion as this particularly poisonous post you wrote elsewhere on this forum....... fredflint (Cavan) - Posts: 1485 - 13/03/2016 11:47:48 1834016 Link 0 |

Firstly well done Fred on digging that post out. Lads like him need to be reminded of such charleton posts and maybe now he will discuss all the predictions he made. As for times when refs favoured us? Get real I have never been at a county game where the ref failed to give us at least one 50/50. sceptical (Cavan) - Posts: 544 - 13/03/2016 12:46:36 1834032 Link 0 |
Yes Ned would you care to row back on some of your scathing comments? A few more below: Inactive x5 (Cavan) - Posts: 1452 - 13/03/2016 12:47:17 1834033 Link 0 |
Very impressed with Cavan last night. Good side, very big and physical, very hard to break down. Mckiernan on the 40 looks like a beast of a player. One of the big differences for me last night was the two goalkeepers. Your's had laser like kick outs, Snow for us....well the less said about it the better. Of the three Ulster sides I have seen Fermanagh play in the league this year you look the best bet to win Ulster. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 13/03/2016 13:06:46 1834043 Link 0 |
Slasher, Maybe you are Neds mammy answering for him? Anyway as I see it Terry spent his first two years solidifying the defence. You may remember we used to concede a lot of goals one time. The 2nd two years were designed to maximise defence to attack conversion. We were all disappointed that this didn't come to pass earlier but then again we were short a lot of forwards. It is however fair to say that the McHale experiment didn't work. It was at this time that the min wanted Terry's head. Finally we are seeing the improvement we all wanted but if think Terry just said "let's just start a tracking more" the Monday after the Derry game then you have a very poor grasp of coaching a team at this level. fredflint (Cavan) - Posts: 1485 - 13/03/2016 13:17:55 1834045 Link 0 |
Great win at Brewster Park last night. Big crowd but I would have to say that Traffic congestion afterwards was a nightmare. Sat in the car park at the Cinema for half an hour before moving. There appeared to be no traffic control and didn't see a PSNI officer all night. I tink the size of the crowd took them by surprise as there was big back ups to buy tickets.
