Club Football 2024

3 black cards in a game that wasn't dirty or that cynical.

Glad to see themselves and Arva put some pride back in Cavan club football after Knockbrides display last week.

Arva were very impressive missed very little.

Magheracloone be a big step up next though and might be a step too far, but credit to them.

Great win for Arva.

Crosserlough weren't far away either - 3 black cards contributed to their defeat by Ulster finalists.

Knockbride beaten by Ulster finalists through naivety but Donegal side, Muff, were well ahead of the rest.

Club football in Cavan on the up.

Has anyone checked on poor old vetern ???

Was at the game and even still I can't figure out how Arva won … but winning can become a habit too so fair play to them…. The great unbeaten run continues

On the up? based on club football ? Clutching at straws here lads... still one of the, if not worst club records in ulster club competitions in the last 30 years. For a football mad county....

Chew on this though..

Since the introduction of the Ulster Club SFC in 68, the intermediate in 98, and junior in 2001..Across all 3 grades Cavan have 5 titles... Monaghan have 18. Even Antrim have 5... only Fermanagh have less.

So Cavan football is on the up...well it can't get any worse....

Ah you're back, at least under one of your handles, as you'd say yourself, I was beginning to worry about you. Its good to have you back. Most of the Monaghan club success, and fair play there's lots of it, is in Junior and Intermediate. Monaghan Senior football is poor, all the same. Kilcoo outclassed a Scotstown franchise/conglomerate that are dominating the club scene up there. That's the facts.

Honestly, it was your overuse of phrases such as 'good lad', and many other examples that revealed a pattern. Anyway, what's your thoughts on Cavan's dominance over Monaghan of late? You must be worried for the future.

In the last 25 years let's say... how many Ulster SFC games have cavan won? Who do you think has won more than Cavan?

Beat Monaghan every time over that period

You may have scraped a win but most times ye just folded like a deck of cards when faced with Cavan… you are the uneducated one…

You might be interested to know that, bar Tyrone and Donegal, over the last decade, Monaghan and Cavan have won more Ulster Championship games than any of the rest. Monaghan are slightly ahead but both have done well of late. Looking beyond the decade is hardly relevant.

That's different. Going beyond ten years of individual results is irrelevant, as very few players playing now were involved then. The point remains, however, that both us and you have actually performed well over that decade. As for your spiteful digs at our 5 titles. Our All Irelands are a distant memory but we'll always have that history. It is pathetic of you to go down that road. Better old history than no history.
