A million miles away but also "blew it" last year. This lad is best ignored. Thinks he's an influencer

I would certainly agree with you. that is one salty boyo. no way would someone on the opposite end of the county be so obsessed with another club. unless he's getting an earful from lads at work or maybe in laws. ones neighbours are harmless and good crack until they start eatin your breakfast

well the clubs have voted in favour of raymond galligan tonight so no turning back. interesting times ahead. lots of head scratching amongst supporters but its best to be supportive of the management team now. as the man said we have a tendency to complain first. You couldn't be further from the truth, no allegiance with the Gaels whatsoever, great achievements in the 00's but a club in decline.

Could be a breath of fresh air, he knows things have to change and Cavan need to be more attack minded, although it will be interesting to see what Stephen O'Neill brings, he played in defensively minded teams although they had the personnel to break at speed when required. Anyway, its done and dusted, time to get behind them and give all our support.

You said last week that the Gaels would get to the Semifinals? Doesn't your young lad play with Killygarry Dean?

What way do the 3 tables stand after the weekend results? Is there any hand link anywhere Calving4Sam (Cavan) - Posts: 85 - 29/08/2023 12:35:29 2502819 Link 0 |

Conveniently all the top teams have avoided each other so far so the table has a familiar shape. Very unlucky for the 'weaker' teams in Senior. It looks like a team with 2 points could make the 1/4s yet. Is this the best possible system? There'll be a few dead rubbers in round 4 JamsieMac (Cavan) - Posts: 482 - 29/08/2023 14:16:24 2502847 Link 0 |
It's been a bit of a mad draw. You're right there, bar Ramor and Crosserlough. It's also mad when you see Mullahoran have drawn last years finalists and 2 semi finalists so far, while Gowna have had 3 teams who are usually down near the bottom. Crazy the way the draw falls Think so. We've had teams on 2 points get through before, but will come down to score difference possibly Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 2450 - 29/08/2023 15:15:40 2502869 Link 0 |
Spot on, I didn't realise you could link through.

Is the junior going to be decided on play off if 2 teams finish on same points or is it score difference? Breffniboys (Cavan) - Posts: 15 - 30/08/2023 07:17:28 2502925 Link 0 |
Apparantly so. 2 playoffs this wednesday drumalee11 (USA) - Posts: 329 - 04/09/2023 11:56:25 2502968 Link 0 |
Top 2 must have been decided on a toss as Arva are in the no 1 position despite Knockbride having a better score difference.. A correct decision as neither team would have any appetite for a meaningless playoff…

Would this Week's winners not have to play off to see who comes 6th or 7th…?

ForeverBlue2 (Cavan) - Posts: 1605 - 05/09/2023 11:54:56 2503120 No the first game listed is for 6th place and the second game is for 7th. They probably should have tossed a coin to see who will be 6th and 7th out of the two winners though ! RHF (Cavan) - Posts: 878 - 05/09/2023 12:34:17 2503132 Link 0 |
Yes, the next Wednesday both winners of the first games will play off to decide who get's 7th and 8th
Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 2450 - 05/09/2023 12:36:03 2503133 Link 0 |
You are wrong there… the losers will play off to see who gets 8th place… winners should play off for 6th and 7th as 4 into 3 won't go… This is the problem with this type of Championship format as score difference cannot be used…. it can end up with a lot of play off matches…
