Replying To TheLordofcavanGaa:  "In Fairness the Cavan lads the Rossies only pulled away from us in the last 55mins of the game I believe so there's some positives to take there."
In all seriousness, we thought going into this year it couldn't get any worse, but low and behold it looks like it has before a ball has been kicked...
Looking at Leitrim's scoring the other day worries me and i'm not taking the mick, an AMBUSH in carrick in a few weeks time from Andy Moran's men wouldn't at all surprise me
Long year ahead.

Do you know the team that lined out against Roscommon?

Leitrim were playing indoor on a AstroTurf . A lot faster then playing on a soft pitch in January. Leitrim have some good forwards in Beirne and Prior ,but most teams would put up good scores on that surface.

Oh ok well i'm awfully sorry if i came across as 'narky', but it shouldn't take me knowing the team for a challenge match played in MULLAHORAN to realise that the team is not in a good place atm and seeing some of those new names added to the panel doesn't and shouldn't fill Cavan folk with lots of confidence..

Moran will have them players humming for that game against Cavan, new management , new lease of life in players against a team on a low knowing they really shouldn't be in Div 4....

I think Cian madden is a good addition to the panel, and hopefully getting James smith and ciaran brady will be a big help, I think them and Gerry smith missing the league last year was a big blow, I hear that there is a good few out with covid at the moment, so don't panic yet :)

In fairness to the Cavan lads you have to fill the boat before you start paddling so there is plenty of time for the boys to rebound and come good come Ulster Quarter Final against Antrim and get ready to destroy Donegal in Clones possibly come Ulster Semi Final baby

Some team Armagh have named, nearly full strength ; could be in for a tough night, depends on who's available I guess ;
you don't want to be getting a tanking in the first game though, that does nobody any good ; certainly doesn't help morale

Listen I think this Armagh game tonight should be pulled all together, no point going out first game in front of a home crowd and getting sent home with our team moral in the bin and our tails between our legs. As the saying "goes u have to push the trolley to get the ball rolling again". But best of luck to the lads

As the saying goes "there's no use boiling ur cabbage twice before u throw ur onions into stew". Best of luck to the lads tonight l won't bother my whole going into breffni tonight tho but by Jesus I'll bloody stream it

I wouldn't pay to much heed on tonight's result or the one v Tyrone… both teams are operating at a different level to Cavan… The focus must be on that opening league game in Leitrim… a win there is paramount as it sets up what has to be a league title winning campaign…. Anything less will be an absolute disaster…!

Agree with that the league is the most important, Cavan should be aiming to get out of div 4/3 in next 2 years anything less is not good enough promotion minimum requirement. Come on Cavan up the blues.

Cavan told us last night that they are back where they belong. Armagh were lucky to escape.

Listened to game on northern sound seems likewe played well in second half but the old problems remain ie not taking our chances and attempts dropping short according to northern sound we had at least 3 goal chances and didn't take even one but it a cold rainy night in January first game of season so not to disappointed and hopefully they can iron out them problems. Cmon Cavan.

I don't think losing tight games should be shown as an example of "back where we belong"…. more like back to square one…. Another good performance v Tyrone with a few more scores on the board will set us up nicely for the trip to Leitrim…!

As a new week is upon us I think we should be living without a ounce of fear of these Tyrone men come tomorrow night when the ball is tossed in the air up between please god with a bit of help from the lord that Mic Argue isn't one of those men competing for it, they could get some surprised in Kingspan Breffni tomorrow night as the saying goes "U can lock all the windows in the house, without throwing the turkey and the roastes in the oven first" and of course that's something for the boys to keep in mind but I'm happy that i feel a sense of optimism for tomorrow's game
