Replying To The Quiet Man:  "I have mentioned both teams that he managed one Ballyhaise that he brought into the senior ranks and Lavey several years ago. I am sure I have mentioned this in a previous post if not Hoganstand failed to post it. This all started when poster said he was getting the gaels job and I replied I doubt it with his family history in his own club. In fact I was willing to put a wager on it that he would not take the job but if he did he would easy win several senior titles with them.
So the ham my posts before you confront me. I know who did what. Going back to his lavey day's G Smith was 16 years old."
What has Gerry Smith's age got to do with anything. You said he wouldn't manage a senior team. Fact is he has. There is no chance the Gaels would give him the job. For some reason you seem to rate him. Why not his own club sure, aren't they looking for a manager.

Yes of course I over looked Killeshandra if my memory serves me right I think it was for about 6 months open to correction. I know the Lavey position was to try and maintain their senior status which he did and with Ballyhaise he brought them to an intermediate title and off course they became seniors then. Does not matter to be honest but this man has a good pedigree and history behind him. Who knows maybe he may well be offered the Ramor job I suppose time will tell, to be honest I did not realise their manger had stood down.

Replying To The Quiet Man:  "The more I think about the above post regarding John Brady taking the gaels post I would place a bet with anyone that he would never take the job. John Brady is a proud Ramor man, his whole family are involved and I just could not see him lead the gaels or any senior club in Cavan to play his club. If he was to get any job it should be the U17 Cavan squad or the U20 team. I would propose that he be nominated for one or the other."
As much as John would not take the job i doubt the Gales would even consider him either.. Sean can you enlighten as to what your grievances are with Cavan Gaels club?? You run them down every oppurtunity you get

I can tell you now, neither John Brady nor Peter Reilly will get the Gaels job.

Really attitude is a major problem and sadly the only way is down. Shame really for I have some decent friends from that club.

Strange your post John Brady has a good track record shame people like you cannot reconise it. It's maybe the reason why Cavan are going no place fast. The sad thing about all this is that the clubs condone everything that is happening in Cavan and as long as this continues Cavan will go no where fast in any competition. Time the clubs stood up and started doing something positive for as long as they accept things as they are there is no point talking.
Cavan need people to stand up at the convention/AGM and voice their grievances and get something positive from it and stop sitting on their honkers saying yes yes yes.

Anyone know which clubs are on the look out for new managers yet? I know the Championships are not over yet but just wondering. I know the two town teams, Cavan Gaels & Drumalee are looking for a new manger/management team.
