Having said that what we have performing at the moment seem to be doing a good job but many counties will have their big guns back in as we all know Tyrone Kerry Donegal Mayo Monaghan to name a few teams come championship time and it's a complete different competition than the national league. We have to wait and see whats revealed later on. The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4601 - 02/03/2018 19:16:45 2081628 Link 0 |
Anyone any players they'd like to see added to strengthen team/squad. I'll start off with a few. Gerry Smith, David Givney, Joe Dillon, Jonathon McCabe. Hardtimes (Cavan) - Posts: 1056 - 03/03/2018 13:39:32 2081694 Link 0 |
McGlade McGlade Sheridan from Arva Fortune corner back Gaels also young Young Meehan deserves another chance we had him before and he is a lovely lad and honest along with being respectful these are just a few, Gerry Smith has taken a year out for studies, yes Joe Dillon has great heart but maybe temperament is against him if he is not in all ready it may well be the reason why. I like Joe and would be my first choice in on any panel as would be Ray Cullivan if he was fit.

Barry reilly kingscourt, he's working for teagasc in ballyhaise now might have more time to commit like heislin in Westmeath, well worth asking.

Good free taker as well reminds me of our former free taker in the 90ths when he was hot he was brilliant but when he was cold he was terrible was it Ray Cullivan you can carry a free taker but you cannot carry a liability. You're thinking of Ronan Carolan.

It doesn't matter Sean, I was just making reference to the fact that Barry reilly was working for teagasc and not on a private farm that he might have more regular hours, and John Heslin is a top inter county forward with Westmeath and he has much the same job, just a lot of confusion here!!

Hows the pitch looking? Will it be fit to host the Down clash Saturday night? IamADragon (Cavan) - Posts: 306 - 08/03/2018 09:18:06 2082623 Link 0 |

Down are Down lads.. always dangerous, especially when they're being written off. They beat Roscommon who are, for my money, the best equipped team in this Division. Inactive x5 (Cavan) - Posts: 1452 - 09/03/2018 13:37:34 2082935 Link 0 |
On to the Down game now. I'd be quietly confident. but from following Cavan we all know that pain is sometimes never far away. Cavan have been playing in a championship pressure league so far, starting as favourites for the drop followed by two top of the table clashes. now they play a down team that will be feeling very hurt. A win and Cavan are within touching distance with two games remaining, A loss may be very damaging going in against the other two top teams. I still think Cavan will take this one and it will be a massive win as we haven't always performed against ulster teams in the league. Cavan are the third highest scorers in the league so far and have the 4th (i think) lowest concession rate as well as having the highest goal ratio. The stats are looking good for Cavan and i hope it'll look even better Saturday night. theweanling (Cavan) - Posts: 186 - 08/03/2018 16:02:40 2082743 I wonder why they were favorites to be relegated at the start of the season they were playing division 1 last year and the worst that could have happened is that they stayed in division 2 for they should have been favorites with Roscommon for promotion not relegation. It's how they perform against Donegal that will let us all know where we are at. The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4601 - 09/03/2018 13:43:47 2082936 Link 0 |
