Now I know you are in a fantasy world.
I have always have had the greatest of respect for Kevin Meehan real honest genuine respectful person with no air's and graces about him.
doratheexplorer are you really being honest do you honestly think that the gales players are good enough to be the county players all of them you have got to be joking and in another world. Many there are quality players around the county far better than many of your club players and be honest with yourself and acknowledge this as being the truth,"
Yeah I do think a lot of them Gaels lads are better than what else is available and every player that plays Club Championship deserves to be looked at including all players that play finals in the next two weeks.

Flags are going up in the Town there is a Senior Final to look forward to on Sunday week. The Gaels are overwhelming favorites and yet some of the geniuses on here are suggesting that all of the pressure is somehow on the underdogs I do not see it that way. The Gaels have to deliver on their expectations of an easy win. I am very proud of the way our players have played and represented our club and county over the years none more so than Cian Mackey who is the standout forward in Cavan and has been for a dozen years now.

Yeah McHugh and Keogan are good friends, and McHugh and Gallagher even better friends.

Sure McHugh even tried to claim Gallagher was the real brains behind Donegal's all ireland win in 2012!!

Pure nonsense saying that all the gaels players could be on the county panel

Castlerahan deserve to be in the final yes but no team deserves to win a final unless they have earned it. Cavan Gaels know what it takes to win and earn it. If castlerahan fail to deliver this time around they will still be known as the nearly men in Cavan. The players know they need to win to get rid of this tag and this is called pressure. Can they handle it? They haven't previously so who knows.

Just across the road from the Meadow View there is a shop that sells XL bridles maybe try one on with the added blinkers attached one blue one white.
Wise up Football standard is poor and if you could get 4 in on the county set up that would be great but the terms change once you wear the county shirt lots of things change Respect Disciple private behavior you are in the public eye so a lot expected from them and are they capable of hacking it??? This applies to all players that are brought into the county set up. I would love to see some other gaels lads brought in Maloney Durham for one and maybe Paul Graham there are all ready 4 or 5 on the panel so that would be a huge representation from one club. Could they hack sitting on the subs bench week after week all these things are brought into play.

Yes many good servants over the years a couple of Brady lads Ronan Flanagan Mackey to name a few. Flannagan has a brilliant positional brain and works well with others. One thing I hope they don't do is play this lateral football so one thing I hope it will be a county final that people will talk about for a few years. I expect I will not be there to see it but I hope football wins on the day.

I think most genuine supporters know whats coming. The Gaels are by far the most superior club team in the County at present, they've gone unbeatable in league & championship this year. They have nothing to fear, they're still by all accounts, a very young team, with a some very experienced players in the mix. Jelly, Dunne & O'Connor are, on their day, the best forwards in the County, you can dispute that if you want, but there is no-one in the current County Team better than any of them and they will take some stopping.

Castlerahan are a very good team, and on their day, if they are let play football, will be a match for anyone, but that wont happen. It was their downfall in the last few finals. They set up too defensive and I have no doubt with McHugh & Gallagher giving instructions, they will go out ultra defensive against the Gaels. In order to beat the Gaels, they'll need to outscore them, and that aint going to happen by playing ultra defensive football. Gaels by 5 or 6 points.

I wouldn't be worried about McHughd input at any club team.
I've seen at first hand the drivel he comes out with when asked to assess various club teams.
Gaels need to stick to their own game plan and play their wide expansive football and more importantly keep their discipline and not have any sendings offs.

Neither of the above mentioned have nothing to offer anyone for they have not got a clue.

I agree with you cavanblueman so once your club scores Castlerahan will have to open up and play to match what ever score your team has scored so an open game should be expected from then on.

The Gaels have a fine full forward line that are as a unit formidable and while your opinion is that they are the best forwards in the County I disagree. that is the beauty of sport people can have differing viewpoints and I would not expect a Gaels man to cheer for their next opponent. A few on here have mentioned the over use of defensive football that has cost Castlerahan in the past and hopefully we will get a faster more free flowing final time will tell on that one.

Please god rahanman for when you open your game you are a joy to watch and I wish you well. I hope Anthony Forde is getting the best out of your midfield and halfback line one the best CHB for a very long time. Unfortunately I will not be at the match but I hope when I get the dvd from Tommy Reilly I will get a fair idea how the game was played. Best of luck to all.

Gerry Sheridan is ref for the final. We can expect a free flowing game for sure. Deserving reward for Gerry.

I agree, its great to be able to express opinions...but name any other forwards in the County that would be better, Johnston has been the best forward in County for the last 10 years. The rest have tried and failed, you only need to look at the County team. O'Connor & Dunne have been formidable in the this years Championship, very few others have stood out.

I have nothing but huge admiration for Castlerahan, they have everything, but as you might see from my previous posts, they are hindered by the tactics employed by management, as they were in previous County Finals. Man for man, they are every bit as good as the Gaels, but they must be allowed to play football, and when if they are, then yes, they have a big chance of winning. But, if they continue to play defensively, then 9/10 pts will not be enough to beat the Gaels.

O'Connor and Dunne have been far from formidable in this years championship, Dunne only came to life against xlough and O'Connors 2 goals against kingscourt mask alot of very average performances.

On the plus side for the gaels stephen murray is back and his pace will be vital against a defensive unit.....Midfield will be a key battle castlerahan are particularly strong here this year with wright back in there

im sure niall murray will be given the task to of following mackey for the day, every defenders nightmare.

i just dont see castlerahan been able to get enough scores on the day or having the players to get the scores

gaels by 5 or 6

The last time a county final was a cake walk was around 08/09 when the Gaels beat Denn. They are not sil;ly and will expect a tough test which usually brings out the best in them.

Looking forward to a good fast flowing game if the weather holds up. Whoever wins will be deserving County Champions.
