Popular Martin was tragically killed during a road accident near Canterbury, New Zealand on January 2nd. Martin had been working in New Zealand since 2013. Only 22 years of age, he had played underage football with his native Mullahoran. Huge crowds visited the Cadden home on Sunday, January 11th, at his removal on the Monday evening and burial in Loughduff Cemetery the following day as a shocked south Cavan community came to pay their respects.
