Carlow’s Jack Kavanagh and Conor Lawlor have announced their inter-county retirements.
Both were notable absentees from the Carlow team that came from behind to earn a share of the spoils with Offaly in last Saturday’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1B opener in Tullamore. Kavanagh made over 140 senior appearances for the Barrowsiders, while former dual star Lawlor played 110 times between the two codes.
A GPA statement read: “The very best of luck in inter-county retirement Carlow pair Jack Kavanagh and Conor Lawlor.
“Jack played hurling for his county 142 times while dual star Conor played 110 times across the two codes. Jack picked up silverware in the Christy Ring Cup and Joe McDonagh Cup (x2) along the way.
Conor was also part of the successful Joe McDonagh winning side in 2023. Good luck to you both for the future.”
