Is it too early to take anything from the club league results to date seeing that they are nearly half way through? offtheditch (Cavan) - Posts: 175 - 01/05/2025 11:19:43 2605970 Link 0 |

What messing are Kill at holding up the Divisoin 3 league final? RHF (Cavan) - Posts: 887 - 10/07/2025 08:17:31 2624750 Link 0 |
Very poor senior final last night between 2 of the top three teams in the county i know both teams were down a few players but little or no quality football played by either team. Ramor relied on one forward Mcevoy to do all Crosserlough had no one who could break through ramors blanket defence on the forty and set up a score. breffnibluewhite (Cavan) - Posts: 503 - 20/07/2025 11:38:31 2626613 Link 0 |

Some statement by Crosserlough last night Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 2483 - 08/08/2025 10:12:39 2630512 Link 0 |
Crosserlough were excellent but it was a walk in the Park (pardon the pun) for them as Castlerahan were atrocious and left themselves wide open. Only thing is Crosserlough had a tough challenge match last week and they were able to empty the bench last night but they'll want to be playing the better teams over the next few weeks. Predictions for the weekend: Gaels - will be a tight game, Jordan Morris out with hamstring, missing rest of the championship Arva - will also be a tight game, Darragh Lovett injured and a few others with knocks Gowna - will be tight for a while but Ballinagh with get tired Ballyhaise - Good division 2 league win, Laragh missing a few lads who are abroad Ramor - Div 1 league winners, although Mullahoran showed a bit of promise in the league Pologrounds2025 (Cavan) - Posts: 37 - 08/08/2025 16:09:47 2630619 Link 0 |
Odd enough weekend all in. Senior wise anyway for first round. Facile enough wins for Crosserlough, Gowna, and Ballyhaise. Laragh look very far off the pace. I would expect Castlerahan and Ballinagh to get better, just tough to get some of the top teams. Kingscourt sneak wins like they do, Gaels maybe not as done as some thought. Arva getting a very good win and lord knows where Killygarry are at despite the players they have. Mullahoran threw away a win vs Ramor but likley still happy with a draw with a lot to work on. So many chances and so many dropped short and wide. Ramor poor overall too though with their own wides but Mullahoran should have won that. Still look a top 3, but maybe a few like Kingscourt, Ballyhaise, Mullahoran, and Arva just behind. Need someone to push and make a breakthrough Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 2483 - 11/08/2025 08:37:22 2631016 Link 0 |
Odd for sure, but some of the refereeing decisions over the weekend have been poor in my opinion. In the Killygarry match, the tackle on Martin Reilly was a horrible tackle. Two other serious injuries with both Jame's Galligan and Enda Henry breaking their legs. Mullahoran were very unlucky last night, they were the better team but will rue their missed chances, they really put it up to Ramor and no doubt Mullahoran will be disappointed with 1 point because they really deserved their win, hats off to them though, a lot of work gone in at underage and kudos to their young players last night who really didnt look out of place. Looking forward again to next weekend, still a lot to play for. Pologrounds2025 (Cavan) - Posts: 37 - 11/08/2025 11:17:24 2631051 Link 0 |

Definitely an odd weekend and especially with the new rules. I can't really talk anyway after my woeful predictions. To be fair I knew there'd be some unusual results but I managed to pick all the wrong ones - to be honest I'd have been more accurate if I'd picked them out of a hat ! 97Cavans (Cavan) - Posts: 418 - 14/08/2025 11:29:43 2631811 Link 0 |
