Best of luck to both sets of lads as they start of their seasons this evening. Change to the U20s with no straight knockout now and no league, but straight into similar to minors where groups of 4 and 5 and round robin games before knockout. Hard to know where both teams are, but seems the minors are well regarded after this same group won the Gerry Reilly competition last year. U20s have some players back who missed last year, ahve some in third 3rd campaign, and some are Senior club player regulars. So hopefully both sets of lads go well under Seanie Smith and Larry Reilly. Lots of games for them to get through and develop. 2 disappointing results and 2 more teams who are unable to find the back of the net…. This is turning into a huge problem across the board at County level for Cavan at the moment…!! ForeverBlue2 (Cavan) - Posts: 3057 - 14/03/2024 07:26:06 2531083 Link 0 |
Well that's 2 poor results at home to a team we should be competing with at this level. Early days though and lots of time to play into form in both these formats, but a little bit worrying nevertheless Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 2450 - 14/03/2024 08:07:28 2531084 Link 0 |
I totally agree… It is very difficult especially at underage level to win a match without at least getting one goal…Not scoring any while conceding a couple at the other end drains the whole confidence out of a team…

Better from the minors last weekend v Fermanagh with a big win to get the score difference needed. Into a semi v Derry tomorrow in Owenbeg. Best of luck boys Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 2450 - 22/03/2024 11:48:38 2532628 Link 0 |
