Tomsmith here from Cavan Gaels ,,, ie Cavan greatest club in past 40 years..

John you are alittle negative in giving out stats like 3 Ulsters in 50 years courtesty of a great result in 2020 by Mickie
Graham.and another by Martin Mc Hugh and Mick Higgins.
Well I can tell you that we went over to New York in 1947 and beat the mighty Kerry in that famous field up on Broadway.
It was done against the odd Kerry being on a roll but Cavanstood up and when men were asked to be counted men were counted..
We may be down in Div 4 but get Divisional teams going ,, get any new talent that is out there and we will be on aroll again..
All posters please stop being negative ...... I remember the Gaels loosing a few games one after another a years ago, and the negative stuff had a severe effect on the team.."
l still have last year's ulster games to watch on youtube - it certainly helps me skip 2021!!!

Very sobering weekend for Cavan football across the board . I'm very down as a Cavan man tonight .
Last night was bad , tonight was just as bad. We are such a poor outfit . And we have zero players coming players coming through . How we won that ulster will always be a mystery .
Since our under 21 4 in a row. We have won one single ulster match in that grade. An easy victory against fermangh in 2017. The players that are now coming through know nothing only losing . People will likely go for mickey after this , and there are question marks. After 3 years I have no idea what kind of team we are . His lack of respect towards the league is now coming back to haunt him.
In balance, maybe he was making wine out of water. Two ulster finals with that group of players is impressive . I mean they can barely solo the ball from tonights viewing . I wouldn't be surprised if he walks tonight . Maybe he is better than this .
In conclusion, I feel there a bigger issues than tonight a root and branch review is needed urgently.

there are plenty players in Cavan who can solo a ball but as we all know it's harder to get off this team than on it. There should be a few places up for grabs next year.

If you are anywhere near correct in what you say then this current management team should be removed immediately….!!!

I think we have to face reality. We are in D4 next season and unless we reach an Ulster final, will not be competing for SAM. Have to start putting a few early results together next february and try to get outa D4.

There is only 3 teams max competing for Sam anyway.
