I do think cavan need more guys in the sqaud . We are looking at a poor midfield that will not work hard enough . Paul graham is a fantastic player . He is fit and strong enough . There are players o on the county team that would struggle on top club teams in cavan

At this stage the only additions to the panel may come from the under 20 squad. If we can get everyone on the current panel fit then we should stick with what we have.

From a review of today's papers it appears that McVetty is out of the Donegal game. He is a huge loss as he was sensational during the course of the League and is without doubt one of the best half forwards in the country. However, the last thing we need is to have him rushed back and risk a relapse, let him come back in when he is ready to play and no sooner. We have a 6 week lead up to the game and should in be able to come up with alternative plan. Others now need to step up to the plate.

We need 15 players who have the temperament to finish a match without getting sent off.
Unfortunately he doesn't have that.

Before the league started: The squad is in turmoil, mass exodus of players, we're certs for relegation, Mattie's out of his depth.

End of the league: What a group of players, battling for the shirt, lovely brand of football! Goodbye blanket! Well done Mattie, the future is blue!

One game later: Worried about the championship, no midfield, defence wide open, no kickout strategy, no leaders, lost on the line.

Such a fickle bunch on here

In fairness most people did have reservations about the defence especially after the Down game. it wasn't just after the league final. Those fears were voiced after the Tipp and Roscommon game in the league. its hard to know at this stage but its appearing as though Phillips is a bigger loss than first thought. I'll surely admit that at the start of the league i had my fears like a lot of others and for good reason. the team has done exceptionally to get this far. the latest news on Mc Veety is sole destroying but no more than at the beginning of the league and back in 2013 when gearoid was out for the summer they could really surprise us all.

Are you telling me all of the current players have the ability to see out a match by not being sent off. The ones I know who can are the ones that don't get involved like Tomas did he wore his heart in the right place right under the crest he represented extremely well.

If that happened he wouldn't have being able to walk off.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
I think we're a strong D2 team but are a few players short of maintaining a Division 1 status.

Not off the bone but it's a bad grade 2 tear. Unfortunately had he come off initially he would have been ok. Very hard luck on the lad, hope we're still in the championship when he's eventually back. Rest of the lads now need to step up to the mark. We've had a decent season so far but if we can't step it up for Ballybofey then we have little chance of stepping it up for staying in Division 1 next year. We need to come of age now.

The only players capable of being game changers are Mackey and Johnson but neither would be able for 70 minutes. Mackey almost gave as good a kick pass as you'll ever see only Roscommon defender just got his hands on it.

So it was a bad pass it failed to reach it's target the opposition did their job don't you think or do you want us to live on what might have been that would be fun.

Mackey gave a kick a pass, as good as you'll see, but the Roscommon man got a hand to it......i'm still trying to make sense of that statement!

Well it'd be hard to make sense of it if you omit words from the original statement.
